Saturday was another fantastic day at the 2012 Lake Arrowhead Antique & Classic Boat Show – Hosted by the nice folks at the Southern California Chapter ACBS. The docks and village area were packed with spectators all day, who came out to see the beautiful classic boats and woody cars.
All the boats that participated in the show this year were exceptional, however one boat in particular stood out. When we arrived at Lake Arrowhead on Thursday, we learned that a one of kind, custom built 1937 Ditchburn 26′ Triple Cockpit Runabout powered by an original V-12 Scripps was going to be in attendance this year… And sure enough, on Saturday morning “Miss Lindy” arrived at the show. Check out the unusual rumble seat / rear cockpit which also can fold down flush with the aft deck… Cool stuff.
– ACBS International Most Original / Best Preserved
– Best Triple Cockpit
– Best Engine
– People’s Choice Award
We managed to take a number of photos of this boat on Saturday during the show, and have some history from the owner, so stay tuned to Woody Boater for the full story early this week.
The awards banquet on Saturday night was a great time, and very well organized by the SoCal Chapter ACBS crew. And the staff at the Lake Arrowhead Resort & Spa presented the 75 participants with a first class banquet & dinner.

Our apologies for not including photos of some of the award winning boats, but on Saturday the docks at the boat show were absolutely packed with spectators all day, and we had a difficult time getting a clean shot of all the boats.
There were also a number of custom cars and woodies that attended the show this year, which we will also report on later this week. Southern California is a hot bed for both original and customized woodies, and there were some exceptional examples on hand throughout the weekend.
Congratulations to all the award winners this year, and thanks so much to Dave Anderson and the entire crew from the SoCal Chapter ACBS for inviting us to join them this year… Stay tuned for more updates from beautiful Lake Arrowhead in the San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California.
