30 Years Of Joy, All In One Road Trip

Somewhere in Nevada!

We are reporting today on West Coast time. Today marks 30 years of the Boatress and I being married, and enjoying adventures and time zones together. To say time flies when you are having fun is an understatement. It feels like yesterday that we got married, and being back in Marin County today makes it even more surreal. Last we reported, we were leaving Salt Lake and on to California to Tahoe!

On the road in Salt Lake – The Inn On The Hill. AMAZING!

When in Salt Lake you MUSt eat at the Red Iguana! Best Mexican food in the area!

The water in 1 inch deep, but didnt want to get stuck!

When the flats dry out this place is amazing! The boatress says Hi!

We made it to Larkspur California yesterday via Napa instead of Tahoe which was going to be blasted with snow. The entire roadtrip has been a fun trip of avoiding snow and ice storms, but was worth it! We hope you all are enjoying some time off and time with family like we are.

Our temporary home in Marin County is ready for a warm Christmas Dinner with friends and family!

The home sits in the Redwoods and was built in 1905 as many of the homes here were built. Larkspur was back in the day an area to get away from it all in the big city. These homes are built in canyons and hills and are breathtaking and rich in history.

To all our fellow Woody Boaters, and boatresses out there, Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays.

Congrats on your anniversary and your road trip celebration. This morning really seemed strange without an updated story until so late. Enjoy!

West Coast time….Wondered what happened when I looked earlier….and thought…Gee after nine years, is he going to miss one ? Saw where a big snow was headed to the Tahoe area but thought that would make it more fun for you..Sorry you missed that one…I’m sure Herb and Marti would have made it a memorable stop for you. Lotta nice folks in that area and GarWoods is a great place to have a drink and eat.

And before you drive too far into that lake, remember what salt will do to the wheels and frame.

Merry Christmas to you and the Boatress

HAHAHAHAH! well, thats a good typo. I just fixed it. I suppose after 30 years she has had more than 30 tears being married to me. She is a saint for putting up with my crap for so long.

Wait until it is 60…or in our case 62…As they say life is like a roll of toilet paper….It unwinds faster toward the end.

Looks like you are in a beautiful area….Didn’t realize you lived there before Virginia.

Huey Lewis used to live across the street, Steve Perry from Journey up the street, and right behind us was Janis Joplins home back in the day. This area is very rich in Rock and roll. On the right morning one could hear live soft acoustical music echo through the canyon.

You have beautiful scenery and weather for your special day.
My varnish coffee skinned over this morning waiting for an update, but good things come to those who wait. Looks like you ditched the kids in the back seat. Left ’em at a boat show somewhere????
Have a Merry Christmas with family and friends!

Beautiful area. Take a trip down Lucas Valley Road from San Rafael to Nicasio, you’ll be glad you did. It’s one of the coolest roads in America, and home to Skywalker Ranch. You can’t see the ranch from the road, but the views are awesome. Merry Christmas!
