Once again, David proves he is the king of the “user boatmen”. Somebody should write a song about this guy. A true legend!

Are those stripers? strippers? not a fisherman but looks like good eating. Does David keep catch for himself or does he sell catch occassionally? regularly?

Dang. I’ll bet the Atlantic dropped a few inches when you took those big fish out. Great catch Dave!

And that fog dog photo is way cool. Apparently they’re also called sea dogs.

Though fog terrifies me. (Overactive imagination.)

But hey, Dave, while I can forgive you for the Yankees hat, please man, wear a lifejacket out there. The self-inflating ones are really unobtrusive.

No more peeing over the side until you get one. Per the CG, most drowned men are found “flying low.” (And it ain’t because of the mermaids.)

    Good fishing to you!

Hey folks, there’s a GPS on the engine box! And you are not allowed to catch stripers more than 3 miles out, so we don’t go far this time of year. The visibility was about 1/4 mile, that’s enough to get out of the way of whatever might be coming, and not much comes that close to the beach. The ship channel out of Delaware Bay is 20-25 miles offshore. It lifted some by the time we went in the inlet — that’s the most dangerous/congested area, but not so much this time of year! You all would be surprised how many friends you have when you have fresh fish! The rest goes in the freezer.

Dave, thanks for a chilling, thrilling virtual Woody Fishing trip this morning in your Sea Skiff. After the first few photos I felt the need for rain gear and a life vest before continuing. Thanks for taking us along!

Hi Dave, crazy question here but I’m reading over the very first issue of Mother Earth News. Are you by any chance the D.Konick from G.Burnie who wrote in on the last page of that premier issue?
