Woohooo! Less Than Three Weeks Until Lake Dora. We Are Not Ready!

Filler up! Dead River FLA – Palm Gardens

We just broke the 30 day mark until the big Lake Dora Show starts. But we are headed down on the 18th so it looks like only three more weeks. I need to still loose my winter blubber and get stuff ready. Ugh. But isn’t the way it always is. Its amazing how fast March rolls past. And even more amazing how fast the week in Florida goes by. As to some questions. YES there is a huge welcome party on Thursday Night and the Hotel by the pool. 6:30 BE THERE! We will open the store most likely on Thursday before the show starts. I am telling you that Thursday at the show is the most fun. All the boats come in and its like Christmas every couple minutes.

Cool one of a kind stuff shows up all weekend long

We are still note sure what boat we are bringing, but having a boat there is a must. Its perfect boating conditions and haveing a boat makes the event that much more fun!

    We are scheduled to leave on the 12th. Going to do the St. Johns River Cruise before the show. You really should try it one of these years.

    After the pounding of snow we got last week I was not sure if we would be able to make it out at all.

    My first two years were without a boat and I had a GREAT time.

    Of course the cooler of beer, jug of bourbon, and offering to buy lunch at Palm Garden may have helped matters.

      Of course it helps to bring a pretty blonde too. Lots of boaters will put up with a dumpy old man if he has a hot blonde with him.

    I’ve been two years now without a boat….There always seems to be an empty seat somewhere…Boaters are a very kind and tolerant bunch….Good friends too !

    We are also doing the St, John’s South in the Torpedo. We are heading down on the 14th to Ponte Vedra to get in some golf before the river run, then to the Holiday Inn on Saturday. Putting the boat in on Saturday. WOOHOOO!!!

    I am flying in on Thursday but am having a whirlwind towed down and back. Have not had a boat the last couple of years….and got speed shock riding with Troy….so hoping my little boat can ferry friends around. Weather in Va currently same as Florida. Going Boating tomorrow!
    Looking forward to seeing friends old and new…I being old.

    Matt likes to load a bunch of people in his boat at Dora, so unless he and Jimmy both bring a boat I would not expect to see STINKY / STANKY there.
