Lemonhead Is Gearing Up The Whitefish Chain Boat Show This Weekend! Will She Make It?

,

Getting close

Remember the Super Rat Turd story? Well, be prepared to drop your jaw! Longtime fellow Woody Boater Mark Setterholm has had a busy winter and part of the fun is bringing a little smile to the classic boat community at the Whitefish Chain Boat show up in Minn this weekend. This is a very cool show and the big guns come out to play. And then there is Lemon Head!

Just weeks ago, she had her new bottom!

Varnish, and yellow stripes! FUN STUFF

Getting there

YEah! thats gotta go someplace today!

This is what its all about in our fun community. This little utility was the most affordable boat back in the day, and could still qualify for that status. The most fun per buck on the planet for sure.

Interior

LOVE the green and yellow! The past was not Black and white and old muted colors.

Mark has made sure that see is ready in her ORIGINAL green bilge, no fancy brite work and STOCK Yellow Interior. An absolutely perfect logo match and name! Whats not to love? Mark will also have his Riva there. Ya ya, but look at that little Lemonhead!

Will she be ready for the weekends show? Will her chrome go on? Will WECATCHEM make the boat show in New Jersey in two weeks? AHHHHHH, high drama in the classic boat universe.

Yellow stripes! OMG! Will this insanity never end? II think there are some old B & W pictures showing yellow is actually factory correct.

Wonder how others feel about the yellow. I like the stripes. and even the upholstery but that bottom I’m having a hard time with. Then again it’s not my boat.

Question for Mr. Advertising Man. Is there a trademark infringement here??? Just asking.

I thought it might, BUT! The man is different, and so is the type, so that might not be an issue, also, its a boat, so the candy co may not own the rights to that name in the Name of a boat catagory. BTW, I am reaching here and not a lawyer. But, its also a fun promotion for the candy company. I would imageine that Lemonhead is a trademarked and very protected term. So. Also Mark is not in anyway proffiting from this. In fact, it may be the oposite since he isnt selling it using the name.

I think the candy company should buy the boat to use for promotion — pass out free candy samples at all the boat shows!!! I’d be in line.

Go, go, go, Mark. You forgot to add that this is Mark’s “Birthday Boat”: Made in 1954, the year he was born. Yes, Mark said the colors are original. And so is the Lemonhead logo. It’s the original one, not the crappy modern one that Matt found. And if anyone at the Lemonhead company wanted to give Mark any legal hassles, well, they just don’t know great advertising… says this recovering ad guy.

Wow! Didn’t know it was the original logo, that’s genus and I agree. Great marketing for the brand

I love the color combo and glad Mark restored it that way! And you know he did it right! Hope to see it this summer!
