Oh! Yeah! Now This Is A Real Show Stopper. Landing Craft On Ebay

Hell to the YA!

Do you have what it takes to go all the way with your classic boat “issue”? I tried…I was sitting here with the Boatress and said,

Me:” Honey,Sweety Pie, I know we just got a old wood trawler, but look at …”

Her: NOPE…

Me:  look at …..

Her: Nope… NO!

Me: But, Snookums, lambchop, its a…..

Her: NO, I said NO!

Me: But come on, it’s a landing craft.

Her: NO. WHAT?

Me: We could take the car to places? IN the boat?

Her: What…

Me: I am just kidding..

Her: No you are not. That’s the sad part.

It can hold a car!

And so there is the general conversation that I had with her. So it’s all yours. Just think, a real 1967 Higgins Landing Craft. Right at your dock? Do you have the you know whats? Makes my Trawler move look jr league.

You can invade your neighbors now in full force for blowing leaves in your yard. This years no dock issue is kinda salved now at Sunnyland. See, it kinda makes sense.  This blows away that tricycle yesterday. Come on.. Who’s in? Hurry, its not got much more time.
YOU CAN SEE IT RIGHT HERE ON EBAY

When the Boatress banishes you to the “Island”, this is what you will need to get there, and arrive in style.

Probably won’t hurt to just go look. I mean it’s got a rebuilt engine. It’s on an island so it will be like an adventure. Bring the check book so you can balance it on the way.

Display your trailer queen in it (on it?) and bring it to the show by water. Now when it’s time for the judging its kinda floating. If we’re talking about taking people out for rides at the shows you’d be able to empty out the show and take EVERYONE out at once. Load up an army of WoodyBoaters and invade the Reedville Headquarters. How could the Boatress say no to an impromptu lunch for a 100?

Come on fellas. Stop it. You are all enablers. He has a real problem. He needs help. Real help. Not the kind you’re offering.

I’m sure you have heard of divorce court Matt. That’s where this may end if you don’t seek treatment! I’m available as your official Woodyboater Shrink! My rates are a lot less than lawyers and settlements!

If you buy the boat you get a free night in a bed and breakfast. What wife doesn’t love a romantic night at a B&B?

I think I can find a crew for you.

Maybe that would make the Boatress feel better about such an acquisition?

Think of the endless possibilities…It is right there on the Chesapeake…Can’t be far from you by water…For a maiden voyage you and the Boatress could motor down the InterCoastal to Jacksonville for the St. Johns River cruise.. There you could load all the cars and boat trailers, saving everybody the bus trip up from Sanford. You could also carry all the participant luggage with you so folks could have their jammies each night,

Then after the river cruise you coulld buy a mini motor home and do the great loop and have comfortable lodging on the way AND…wait there’s more….You’d have a vehicle to off ramp to go see all the nearby sites as you cruise the Mississippi and other parts of the “loop”

How can the Boatress say “No” to that possibility ?

  9. Wilson
    Wilson says:

After thought: When you are cruising the Gulf of Mexico, you could pull the boat up on the beach right behind our house. The boat would feel right at home. It is the same beach where they practiced the landings at Normandie and the South Pacific…and you could spend the night with us. We have plenty of room. Ask Terry.

You could fit a lot of 3-wheelers in that landing craft to zip around the island.

By the way, I haven’t seen anything street legal on Woody Boater in 2 days, including TROY’s pictures.

“The landing craft, vehicle, personnel (LCVP) or Higgins boat was….was designed by Andrew Higgins based on boats made for operating in swamps and marshes…….Typically constructed from plywood, this shallow-draft, barge-like boat could ferry a roughly platoon-sized complement….

Great for Century owners for displaying their boat above water. Ok, its a joke, lighten up.
