Sunnyland UPDATE! Land Display At Capacity!

We have an update from Terry Fiest regarding the Lake Dora show and how its all going. Are you coming, looks like regardless of the dock damage many are showing up to show support and have fun. Honestly, for two years I have forgotten to even go out to the docks. The party is with pals and out on the water. Read below to see how the gang is pulling together to keep the Lake Dora show a rocker!

The flea market will be ready!

SUNNYLAND CHAPTER UP DATE—-MAR 6, 2018
“HAPPY SUNNYLAND GREETINGS TO EVERYONE”
LOOKS LIKE WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A GREAT SHOWING OF BOATS AND PEOPLE!!!
WE HAVE PLENTY OF ROOM FOR PEOPLE, BUT UNFORTUNATELY WE HAVE REACHED THE LAND DISPLAY LIMIT FOR TRAILER BOATS INSIDE OF WOOTON PARK. WE CAN NO LONGER ACCEPT ANY MORE TRAILER BOATS FOR LAND DISPLAY INSIDE THE FENCED AREA.

Registration will remain open to allow participants an opportunity to register for the show and the late registration fee of $25.00 has been waived. We have plenty of room at all the events and we encourage everyone to register and attend the “Beach Theme Events”

It is a Sunnyland Policy that we ask all participants to register and sign up for all the events. Here is what you get for the $50.00 registration; Entrance tickets for two ($20.00)—-A Beautiful Poster ($10.00)—-a “Goody Bag”(We pay $5.00 for the bag)—-That’s $35.00—if you volunteer to help, you get a “Free Lunch”!!
The remaining $15.00 goes towards the Chapter to off-set the cost of running the show. As you can imagine, the cost of the running a show of this magnitude is over whelming.

This year, more than ever we need everyone to dig in and support the Chapter. Hurricane Irma has taken a toll on our effort to have a normal event and we are relying on all of our members to pitch in and make the show successful.
We are working twice as hard this year to make everything successful and we have put a lot of emphasis on the “Beach Theme” All the events, all the sponsors, all the vendors and all the land displays are here this year, plus the addition of a terrific classic and exotic car display by Festival of Speed.

If you want to come to the show by boat from your home or from a local launch ramp we will have a dock spot to unload your passengers. Then you can anchor out, beach or tie to the vertical concrete pilings from the old docks. We will have a water shuttle service to help you tie up and ferry you back and forth to your boat. BUT REMEMBER, you must register for the show to use these facilities.
We are asking all of you to dig out your Beach Attire and come and join the fun!!

The opportunities to go thru the Dora Canal remain. They continue to be a popular attraction. The water is up a bit which helps during busy times.
