Mahogany Outfitters Plus Some Auction. Get This Stuff Outta Here!

A very cool Century Dealer Sign

Fellow Woody Boater Roger Pacina is cleaning out all his stuff to start another adventure. Roger is like all of us. The fun part is the collecting and restoring and preserving, and then what? no really? What? You end up owning a museum. Which is fun and rewarding, for a while, and then we rotate the stuff onto the next one of us who is getting rid of there last adventure and looking for a new one. And so, the best way to do that is a massive auction. No one died, nothing bad, just clean it out for a new thing which we will be announcing at a later date. So, take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity if you are into old boats, old boat signs, and some gas station stuff. Okay and some soda fountain stuff… Okay and a large pickle.

A large pickle

You can open a Italian Restaurant?

Or a Sinclair Station.

Maybe a large, NO REAL LARGE ice cream?

An ice cold Pepsi?

All at your Sinclair station. Maybe this is now your office? How cool would that be? Work for some snazzy law firm? Dress your office like the place you really want to work?

It must be fun being in the automobile and boat motherland where you can still touch and feel cool memorabilia and even own a piece or two for your workshop.

All we have in Boston is old buildings and statues of guys who went around yelling about trespassers. Can’t exactly buy that stuff and display it.

Those people should really think about having a boat show. Just sayin.

Mark, we have have got you covered. When you “Bring Your Boat Home” for the big Port Huron show, you will be seeing many beautiful classic boats from the local area and around the country, and we have some things planned that will let you know you are also in the Motor City. So check out the Boat the Blue banner on the left side of this page and make your plans to join the ACBS and the Michigan chapter for a great time in September!

I have been to Roger’s place several times, and each time I see something new I missed the last time. The Gas station is so cool, it is like someone just walked out and lock the door 60 years ago. And Roger just found the keys!
And the latest addition to the museum two years ago, was the 50’s Diner, it is like going back to my high school days.
I once asked Roger where did he got all this stuff, and he said he has been collecting vintage stuff since he was a kid, and ran out of space in his basement and garages to store it all. The Solution was to buy and old Ford Dealership, and an old dilapidated gas station in a little town, and Mahogany Outfitters Museum and Sinclair Gas Station was born.
Stay tune for Rogers next big venture…

There are a couple of metal desks very similar in my office. Better save them. Plus two old wooden drafting tables. I have a T-Square for the drafting table too. And some funky old calculating thingy. Guess I should make sure they are saved and not junked.

Matt, thanks for getting this out there to all our fellow boaters. I really enjoyed doing these projects, and it is difficult to let this stuff go, but necessary to move on to another boating venture. This will be a great auction so you don’t want to miss it.
