This Weekend – Lake Hopatgoing?

It’s an all American Summer

This weekend is the big annual Lake Hopatcong show. Sadly this year we are going to miss it. But if you are in the area, you shouldn’t. The boats on the lake are way way above average and as reported for years, some of the big show winners across the country. The standards are very high on the Lake, and because its a fantastic group, the “Fun-O-Meter” is pegged in the fun zone.

Plaidtastic will be at the show and it may be one of the last times to see it. In person she is a wonderful combination of color and texture

So. Get in your whatever vehicle of choice and zoom on over. Bring a camera and jaw strap with Drool cup attached. Ya, wait, you may look a little strange walking around with that on. I am not saying you will be the only one, just strange. Come on, what are you doing reading this dribble. GO! Come on, get up out of your chair, and GO.

    I’d get up out my chair and go but I’m missing a little plastic part that goes to it. Has anyone seen it? It looks like a plastic thru hull fitting.

    “Plaidtastic will be at the show and it may be one of the last times to see it” I would have loved to see it in person I am the guy with the next serial number and spec’d to have the same interior. “one of the last times to see it”? Did the boat sell? Is it going into a time capsule? Curious!
    I may do a road trip to Algonac tomorrow, fingers crossed for the weather for all involved.

    Several years ago I went to an ACBS board meeting at the lake and the show
    Awesome, super friendly folks, a wonderful time. Seth Katz put me to work hauling boats, saw his facility, drove his 17 barrel. Sucked In a plastic bag , moment of panic, bag released had a great run. Really enjoyed the trip, was asked to pilot a future dinner boat. Great memories, wonderful!!
