Sausage eDay!

3 Miles out! Dang!

Well today we try a themed Sausage Day. Sausage eDay! A day of slightly interesting stuff on eBay that really isn’t worth a story. But certainly fun to look through and make snide comments. We all love snide comments.

Great post card from Wisconson. 25 Sportsman?

oh Granny, 1 mile out!

Classic wave on a great illustration for a 25 Johnson ad

HUGE Duplex Oil Can

Great poster

is it vAroom or VROOM

Really? There just happens to be a photographer when a fish is jumping like that. Pre Photoshop!

Lake Arrowhead – Alpine Village

Fish’n in California 100 yrds off shore?

1968 Chris Craft brochure cover

Cool hat!

YIKES!

Not sure why I like this 1980’s photo, but its interesting that something from the 1980’s is kinda cool. Imagine this boat perfect at a boat show. Wont be long and you will appreciate it.

Air Speedo

Very cool Brochure cover. The family lines are strong with Chris Craft

Gold Fairliner.

Is a boating dollar, worth more or less than a French Fry dollar? Car Dollar? Home Dollar? Dollar dollar?

There is one of those huge fish again.

Deck seam ad? Very strange.

Best matchbook yet!

That’s like a really bad all you can eat buffet. The sex pot at the door gets you in, but once you’ve gone through the line your feeling a little queasy. Although, I have to say, the 1950 CC add tasted pretty darn good!

Does anyone know where the Boathose restaurant was? Route 18 now ends in Lewiston, well north of Niagara Falls and 62. Did it get wiped out by the 104 expressway?

I had a few drinks there years ago. It looks like Wendy’s is on the property today, across from Target on 62 what I still call Pine Ave. I also remember when Pierce Marine sold Chris Craft Boats on 3rd. Street near Niagara St.

Sausage? And I thought all Americans used the term Wiener. We also use sausage of course as well as Banger, dogs, etc. Is it a Woody Boater convention for all sorts?

Matt: It sounds like there are readers who do not know the “Sausage” reference. That could be a story in itself, but it’s not much about Woody Boats.

Hee hee hee… you said wiener…. hee hee hee,,,,,

(Here in Oregon we use “sausage, bangers, and hot dog”. The only time we use “Wiener” is when talking about that perv dude back east that sent pictures of his, uh hot dog, to women.)

OH “Sea Going Sex Pot” is definitely worth a story all by itself.

Matt: the other reason you like the 1980’s add is the cute Dorothy Hamill hair cut, along with one of those strapless suits that always dropped down when water skiing. Great combination.

Troy you have disappointed us. I thought you would come up with some pics of “Sea going Sex Pots”. Are you waiting for the story itself’?

That has to be ONLY time someone put a 3HP Johnson on a Penn Yan Swift and used it to go fishing…………………….

Im glad I am not the only one who noticed that. Maybe Dad put the 3 on so the kid could go fishing. Dad should have made him wear a pfd.

The term Sex Pot could really mess with the younger generation today out here in California. I can see it now. A kid walks into a “Dispensary” and asks Hey Dude, You got any of that Sex Pot?? Thanks for the fun stuff Matt.
