Happy Birthday America!

Bring out the colors! Kent O. Smith Jr photo – Lake George

How has your July 4th weekend been? How boot are Canadian pals and there July 1st celebrations? We know you were out there having fun, cause you have not been here thats for sure. Crickets.

Oreo and ” THAT HAT” Take the hat off! NO OFF! The Boatress was not amused. I sure was!

We could have published wiring diagrams and been fine. Although fitting a Mfine Bacon comment into that would have been fun.

Tomorrow we get back underway with some amazing stories. But today, how about some flag shots? Did your boat explode? OK, we love fireworks! Got some red white and blue stuff going on? Bring it on. Burn your wienies.. on the grill? Traditions? We know you have a bazillion photos from this weekend we all want to see. Share away.

The Wicker Sisiters loved there July 4th weekend!

Red and white fire works in the bay sitting in the red and white century with 500 other boaters. And then we all leave in the dark. Crazy people.

Happy 4th of July from Lake Charlevoix. Mornings like this are why we put up with long dreary winters.

Let’s talk about some major grilling! I have had the pleasure of celebrating Canada Day on Saturna island in the Gulf Islands. This is a huge event, the day we were there they served over 2000 people in two hours!

Here is a flag shot of Dick Dow’s boat, Thisuldu, taken a few years ago before he had the transom redone with Mahogany. He and his family are currently at the QCYC outstation on Bainbridge Island WA for the 4th.

We finally got a nice day without rain to put our Greavette in Lake Muskoka for our 1st run of the summer. With a short trip to Port Carling for lunch we met Bob (FLA) and Jerry (Virginia) while they were docking their Chris Craft, SEASHARP which had also made the journey from the St. John’s river all the way to Muskoka. Stars, Stripes and the Maple Leaf Forever on one glorious long weekend day!

Hope everyone got enough to eat! We finished off most of the ribs and then decided to take one of the boats out for a sunset cruise. When you have a, no make that THE red white and blue 1976 Penn Yan, it seemed like the obvious choice. Tobler and L-fine agreed.
