The Lost File On Woodystock FLA

As we dig through the images and about 50 stories from Sunnyland, we have found the images again from the 2nd Woodystock event. The first one was at the Warner auction and now Florida. named Woodystock FLA. The event was a invite only event held at the Tavares Antique mall.

The crowd spilled out into the streets of Tavares..

Hosted by Woody Boater, Hagerty Marine Insurance, Antique Boat Center, Katz’s marina , Mecum Auctions and Sierra Boat Company

The poster for the event was raffled off to business cards put into a boul. Bowl... OH god, this could mean two different things... You hget the drift

From the count, about 200 folks showed up to some fantastic food, drink, and good company all in a very cool setting of antiques. including a fun statue of sorts.

the sculptures name though through some folks. Just a fun quintessence though.

And yes I had to look up quintessence… Woodystock is now taking on a life of its own and is a great way to start big events with a nice reception of folks before the shows start. Thanks to all our sponsors for helping make this happen… See you at the next big event.

Thanks to Matt, I met my new friend Jimmy at Woodystock FLA – What a great guy.

We talked about Vintage Airplanes, Vintage Harley-Davidsons, Vintage Triumph Motorcycles, Vintage Corvettes, Vintage Vespa Scooters, Vintage Wooden Boats, Vintage Wooden Boat Restorers, Vintage….

Get this – Back in the day, Jimmy rode a 1967 Triumph 650 Bonneville from Virginia to Puerto Viarta, Mexico! I asked him how many times it broke down, and he said “A Hundred at Least.”

In those days, the potholes in the Mexican highways were so big they had ladders in them…

What a great way to start the whole event!! Our host was fantastic, and hardly flinched when there was a loud CRASH near the back of the Mall toward the end (not me), must have been one of the flamingo’s…

I heard that too. Last thing you want to hear in an Antique Store is a large cra$h. I too did not go back to investigate.

Woodystock FLA was a fun event. I enjoyed meeting fellow Woody Boaters from all around the country. Thanks to all the great sponsors and to Woody Boater for a fabulous evening.
