It was a great boat show. I am in the first picture posted (upper left corner) on my 61 Grady White. I feel famous now!

That boat is phenomenal - hope I get to see it in person some day. I believe that the sedan shown in the boatshow picture is Dick Kish's Misty Morning, so at least two of the boats from the last NY boat show that Gar Wood attended have been restored to near perfection. That is very surprising, given how few of the larger, non-Ensign Gar Wood's were built after the war. Strange how the painted hulls, which most people now find to be dramatic and very interesting, are partially credited for the demise of Gar Wood, due to the perception that the paint was hiding sub-standard materials and/or workmanship.

Wonderfull to see this boat brought back to such a high level. I have a tough job to get my '46 Sedan to the standards set by Dick and the owner of this boat, Chris Johnson.
