1961 Century Barn Find To Be Debut At Lake Mohawk!

Who doesn’t love a barn find? Count me in, I love the search, the find and the reveal. The idea that a boat has been tucked away for years, just sitting there waiting for you to find her. The truth sometimes is that the boats have not been abandoned to the darkness of a barn though. They have been sitting in a warehouse, a garage under years of old toys and stuff. Sometimes it’s just lost interest, or the emotional connection to the boat that won’t allow the family to say good by. So it sits… The old story of the boat bought by a GI in WW2, Korea, etc and then never returning and the family unable to let go, is rarely the case. In the case of a famous barrel back a couple years back, it just was as simple as a bickering family that kept that boat preserved. In the water for the first time in years! Here she is at Katz’s marina With Seth on the right and Don Ploenter Sr looking at something in the dark shirt . Note the cool hump on the engine hatch. Dang this thing is cool. And it floats.. It was 80% soaked up in less than 24 hrs.
