And Now Just When You Thought You Had Seen It All.

,

Red Truck not included.

Yes, this is not a boat. So quit your moaning.  But it is genetically connected to boats. Kinda like catching the Golden State Killer. It’s Kin folk to the boat universe. Maybe tin folk is more correct. Anyway, it’s a little trailer. That you can see in the image. So no surprise there. But it is from Higgins, and it would round out your HIGGIN’s Collection. Sure, you have a PT boat, but do you have the little trailer?

Cool!

Now mind you, if you have been outside over the past couple weeks, and are still alive, spending the night in this little camper might just do the trick. Make sure you slather on some butter on your skin so you get to a crispy brown. YIKES! But I suppose in the woods on a September night, this could be fun.

Open for business – I could use it to transport stuff to boat shows. T shirts etc. Lots of storage, Open it up, Store in the day, Bedroom at night. Just need a 5 Gallon bucket.

Okay, lets be honest. It would be fun at a boat show, or in your barn next to all the other Higgin’s stuff. And then one day, your wife will wind up with it, and send it to the recycling center. But for right now, it’s pure gold…aluminum…metal ish thing with an old tent. AND A STOVE!

Below is a video from youtube on one of them being set up. Okay, this is cool. And there is a Facebook group on these. Tin Can Tourists

I wonder what would fry an egg quicker? The stove or the trailer?  Okay, enough teasing the poor trailer. If you want to dive in….BOB…. Here ya go! On Facebook Marketplace In Jersey.

Dang! Like your own little MASH unit

There it is. Higgins, The best logo in the universe.

Great headline. And I do like that Awning.

Wait, I can put a small boat on top. Oh hell ya – Ads and images from thea very cool website  Tin Can Tourists

Nice story today. But it has been nine days since Algonac and we still have not seen a report. Those of us that were not there would like to see pictures of the show. Or should I just post my pictures from the 2022 show?

Yet another thing I wish I had a photo of from my childhood. Dad bought my brothers & I a quarter midget. Hauled it in the bed of his pickup. But 3 of us & only one race car, so he bought a 2nd one. Two didn’t fit in the truck bed. So he bought a trailer like this, removed the rotted canvas, hauled tools & spares inside & strapped the 2 quarter midgets to the top. He later replaced the fold-out bunks that form the top, with a home-built truck cap made to accommodate the 2 cars inside. Wish I had a picture, so I could compare to those here & see if it was a Higgins like this one. For those unfamiliar with quarter midgets, this photo of 12yo me waiting in the qualifying line, gives a idea of their size.

Well, it aint gonna keep the skeeters out.

And if it is taking Pappy this long to put a top on an MGB, he must be doing something really wrong. AND dude, why are you even putting the top up on an MG….didn’t you get the memo? “The top stays down unless the storm has a name.”
