It’s that time of year. You drive over a bridge or down a road near water and it hits you. I need a boat. You come up with a ton of rational reasons why it makes sense and you set out to chase that dream. But what sort of boat. There are thousands of options if you are looking for a new boat. What about an Antique or Classic Boat. But were can you find one? Well, eBay has some, mixed in with a mess of others. Craigslist.org is like a back yard sale. Boat shows are great. We talk about those here all the time and you can check out the calender on the banner ad on this site. The web has some cool sites. Brokers are a great place to start, Antique Boat Center in Ohio is a good place. You can go to there warehouse and touch and feel them. ClassicBoat.com is a great site and Mitch and Kathy Lapointe are fun to talk with. Club site forums like the Chris Craft Antique Boat Clubs boat buzz is a fantastic place to get objective advice. There is even one site that is purely devoted to nothing but classic boat listings. It’s free to list and easy to search. www.TradingDock.org. How ever you search for your dream boat, you will know it’s yours the minute you see it. No sales job will help. In fact just about nothing will be able to stop you.
