The 2011 Lake Chatuge Antique & Classic Boat Rendezvous (and cardboard boat race) is under way at The Ridges Resort & Club in Hiawassee, Georgia. The Lake Chatuge show is hosted by the Blue Ridge Chapter ACBS, and as usual, President Al Olsen and the nice folks from the Blue Ridge Chapter have once again organized an awesome show. Based on the number of boat shows & events the Blue Ridge Chapter is hosting this year, they have to one of the busiest ACBS Chapters in the country!
Robert & Linda Miracle are in Hiawassee with their cameras in hand and once again providing us with some beautiful images from the Lake Chatuge show as they start to come in to Woody Boater HQ. Here’s a few more… This fellow’s shirt kind of says it all…
Beautiful Lake Chatuge is nestled between two states and the two towns of Hiawassee, Georgia and Hayesville, North Carolina. This pristine lake has 132 miles of shoreline and is ideal for fishing, swimming, boating and camping.
Thanks to Robert & Linda Miracle from Miracle Photography for sharing their images with us. You can see all the images from the Lake Chatuge show and many other ACBS boat shows by clicking here.
Stay tuned to Woody Boater for another report from the 2011 Lake Chatuge Antique & Classic Boat Rendezvous (and cardboard boat race) on Sunday. We heard a rumor that one of the kids glued the seams of his Cardboard Race Boat bottom with 3M 5200 and swept the field to an easy victory… Tough to beat those 5200 bottoms guys. More tomorrow.
