This fun photo is on eBay. Not sure what the driver is thinking.. Or the brat kid next to him, but it makes me laugh everytime I see it.. It can be yours just by clicking on the image

This week for some reason there is a bunch of cool classic boat stuff..Maybe it’s the chill in the air? Regardless, or to use of my favorite non words, iregardless..there they are.. Cool pictures, a cool table thingy, and a very cool cruiser..and one that if you bid on it, I will come clip off your…. IT’S MINE..

Above is the Boat thingy, now, its about 4 inches long..insert joke here… OK are we done with the jokes… OK it’s small but cool.. you can see and bid here.

And below is a very cool time capsule small pocket cruiser. A 1961 Cavalier…The look is fantastic, the condition, this is defiantly one to go look at in person. But if it checks out, not a bad deal, and with some cool goodies. Depending on the condition, a fun winter project.. He is very clever in how he describes the boat, so look for delamination and what you will have in it when done.  Click here..

OK, this next one is tough, cause I love the picture and frame. they are perfect… for $110 they are smoking crack.. But it’s perfect. So I am waiting it out.. Wait, why am I telling you this? Buy it.. fine, but we all will know how much you paid for it… Wait, maybe I will buy it.. Dammm.. Forget it, I aint showing it.. But its cool.. No.. Maybe.. No…

I’d recognize that top photo anywhere. That is the Chicago lakeshore, with the Shedd and Adler in the background.

And that is definitely Lurch at the helm with Wednesday and Pugsley seated to his right. Grandma, Uncle fester (bad toupée), and Morticia in the rear.

When I saw the shot at first I thought it was from a film.. The driver is so pissed that its comical. But the guys in the back are so normal? Its still a funny shot.. Yes, Lurch-ish

If that Gator trailer has all four hubcaps, and is original to boat, it may indicate that care was taken. Go Buy it. I can’t fit it in the shed. I am trying to find room for a 13 1/2′ cedar lapstrake “wood pile find” from craigslist.

He’s thinking, “Note to self, invent spray rails so new suit doesn’t get soaked!”.

Another note to self: Don’t take the old ladies out anymore. “You’re going too fast” is grating on the ears!

The boat in the top shot is a 1930 28′ Gar Wood (a lot of those went to Chicago) but that photo is probably 20 years newer than that.

I’ve got a different read on what’s, uh, “behind” the driver’s expression in that Chicago pic… “You’re twitching from the itching squirming from the burning…”

Brian is spot on. I call it the long nose version because the bow light is behind the lift ring. The boat I had was a 1931 (of which only 3 were built) and it had a shorter nose because the forward cockpit was moved to the bow. This made the bridge between the cockpits wider and the nose shorter. They then put the bow light in front of the lift ring.

    Great pic though
