Right on schedule at 5:00 PM EST Captain Jim announced “Ladies & Germs – We are making our final approach into the Palatka Marina… At this time we would ask that everyone put their beverage containers in the full upright position, stow away all your PFD’s and refrain from using any electronic devices until we arrive at the dock.”

“On behalf of Captain Jim and my Assistant Captain Johnny – We would like to thank you for using Fine Wood Boats today, and wish you a great holiday in Tavares.”

And as we were about to cross under the Palatka bridge, we realized that this was one of those “Perfect Days of Classic Boating” that we will remember for many years. Perfect and safe. Great weather, a great classic boat and most of all – great friends spending the day together on the water, enjoying the hobby we all love.

Thanks to Jim Staib for inviting us along on the St Johns River Cruise today, and if you are planning to attend the big boat show at Lake Dora this weekend, stop by to see Jim and the gang at the Fine Wood Boats tent where you can find lots of goodies for your classic boat.

We hope you enjoyed the virtual boat trip with us here at Woody Boater today, as much as we enjoyed sharing it with you. We will also be at the boat show this weekend, stop by and visit us at the Woody Boater tent.

When do you we get Part 7 of the story? The part where Jim Staib gets loaded and tries to climb that goofy ladder on the back of THAYER IV.
