Its beautiful warm day on the water in boats that have had all winter to be fixed up. Here are some more exclusive shots. Slurp!

Still waiting on rub rail? Or was that original?
Mark Christensen
Is this the hydro that was on that cool lift trailer at Dora about 5 years ago? It was in unrestored condition behind an old ford or chevy truck? Someone help me out here! I have a picture somewhere I’m sure.
Chad
Yep. Same boat. Can’t wait to see it zipping around in the water.
Sean
To be redundant….
That IS one beautiful boat!

Looking forward to seeing “Miss Step” live and in person on Lake Dora… (note we say “on” Lake Dora not “at” Lake Dora) – Hopefully with camera in hand.

Texx, Let me know if you need a camera boat. My plan is to burn as much gas as I can.
Texx
Thanks Matt – It would be an honor to ride in your Gar Wood.

There’s something about this Show that does a soul so good! Yes, the Show is a very good one. But it’s the Show’s timing that can’t be overstated. To those of us with long winters, it’s a vision of the better months ahead. It’s like the season opener to a Baseball Addict. It’s like getting an ice cold glass of water after crossing a desert.
Varnish and classic glass everywhere. Shorts, t-shirts, sandals. Sipping a beer while bobbing in a boat. The frequent sounds of motors firing up (seaplanes, outboards, inboards). Watching the classic boats come and go from their slips. An outdoor meal or two at Al’s Landing (Show-side). Strolling the boats and boat hardware for sale. Meeting and hanging out with fellow lovers of classic boats…
Two weeks can’t pass quickly enough!
Alex
And, if time permits…

I like a good outdoor meal, but I prefer to eat the meal, not be the meal.

Speaking of being the meal, have you heard about those gallinipper mosquitos that are 20 times the size of a normal mosquito? If you guys run into a swarm of them, please post a few pictures!
Jim Staib
Seth,
I’m leaving early. I’ll save you a slip.

Have been looking thru your write ups on Miss Step and have not been able to find a year. Do you know what year she was built?
