Don Ayers looking it over! let the judging begin!

Last night as Woodystock Fla was in full gear, the crowd was surprised by a wonderful guest. The all new hull #1 Carina 21 Vertical bow slipped into the party. That’s right, into the party.

Fellow Woody Boaters Jim Staib and Antique Boat Centers Lou Raugh look over the vertical bow. OK , jim was already looking for parts. Just ask him, I am sure he already has some. Not sure how he pulls that off. The good folks at Antique Boat Center pulled this off as a surprise for all of us. Amazing stuff.

This years Woodystock Fla was the best  yet  held at Hoity Toity Mercantile. Huge crowd, all having fun and glad to be in the wonderful Florida sunset. This year we also had live music and the food was perfect. The hosts of the night were your wonderful sponsors here on Woody Boater, Antique Boat Center, Katz’s Marina, Sierra Boat Co, The Chris Craft Antique Boat Club, Hagerty Marine Insurance, The ACBS, and of course Woody Boater.

The new 2013 Carina 21 Chris-Craft has made it to the show for the good folks here to drool all over how far  Chris – Craft has come over the years.

Insane interior. We know Don Ayers was taking in a stitch count for future reference.

Genus marketing and a fantastic way to bring the brand to life to this audience. National Sales manager    A big photo shoot is planned by Chris Craft including helicopter shots on Monday. But who needs all that when you have a parking lot, bad light and 3 feet of shooting room? Not me! So enjoy the bad lighting, and Jim Staib as a model…

I bet that Toyota was built right here in the USA – not sure but probable. I have had several GM’s built in Mexico.

If you take back Justin Beiber, we will accept Toyota. NAFTA does not apply to him.

      A few guesses…

      1) They didn’t want to end up on the side of the road like Paul.

      2) They wanted to show that the boat is so light and easy to tow, even a Toyota can handle it.

      3) Nothing makes towing a six figure boat more thrilling than a stuck accelerator.

…especially when backing down the ramp. M-Fine, now that’s funny LOL.

So who is going to take Hull#1 and put it away for 50 years so it can get Best Preserved at Tahoe 2063?

    • m-fine

If I had the cash, I would buy it and go for the “most hours” award at Tahoe 2053…if I live that long!

They make Toyota trucks in San Antonio… almost Mexico. …. and, I’ll be wearing my “Woody Boater” shirt today as I road trip to Lubbuck.

They really need to drop those inlays in the steering wheel, too busy. otherwise, drop dead gorgeous – Jim Staib, that is. Must be the low light.

    Too funny, Alex!

This isn’t fair, last night you all were partying and I was changing bedpans…must’ve been my penitence for betting against Paul on his trip…Lord, forgive me, I swear I will never bet against him again, I promise.

Highest North American content of any automobile manufacturer vehicles currently sold in the US? Toyota. Lowest? GM… Source: Car & Driver April 2012.

Good to see a Red & White on the header again, even if the interior is bright…:)

Three of the 16 major automakers doing business in the U.S. – Chrysler, Ford and GM – produce more than half the cars assembled here, use twice as many U.S. parts per vehicle than their competitors, are headquartered in the U.S. and employ two-thirds of America’s autoworkers,” said former Missouri Governor Matt Blunt, current president of the AAPC.
