It’s that time of year again. Every boat for sale is the perfect boat, the boat you always wanted. An entire summer of boating is ahead of us. This year though is different than the past 4 or so years. Boats are popping up for sale that have not before, and most dramatically, they are selling. Selling fast. U22’s are one of the hot boats this year, selling like hot cakes and prices are up on them. If you are like me, you cruise Ebay, Antique Boat Center, Katz’s Marina and Sierra Boat Co. to see whats out there. And if I want something more exotic, I drool all over Al Capone’s boat at St Lawrence Restoration from the Martin Smith Collection.. Yesterday for example we got word from the good folks at Antique Boat Center that one of our Woody Boat of the month boat was sadly for sale. “Moms Mink”, a one owner Gar Wood we featured HERE, on Woody Boater is for sale by Jim’ Widow. Sadly Jim passed away recently. This is a very rare opportunity to own a very special stunning boat, priced right and comes with an amazing history. The listing is HERE.
Another cool boat out there that you may make room for is this cool 1958 Milo-Craft 18′ Grenadier with 1960 Evinrude Starflite 75 on ebay. HERE is the listing
And this last one, in what appears to be a very very well priced 1955 Chris Craft Holiday. HERE.
For this price you can’t beat this deal. Claims to have a new bottom and is ready to go. A new bottom on a boat this size is 20K , if you are lucky. So what are you waiting for? Get on the sites and start shopping, its gonna be toasty outside soon enough. And then where will you be.. Up a river without a…. boat.
