Everyone said, the day was going to be ruined by bad weather. To hell with that, we are going woody boating.

None of us recall how much we spent per gallon, for all we knew it could have been 10 bucks a gallon. This business model is pure genus!

Here we are waiting out some dramatic action on the lake. But worth it for the light and photo.

Now all gassed up away we go… The good folks here put on a fun poker run around the lake and a nice lunch at the end.

To be honest, it got a tad damp at the start, but we waiting in areas and dodged most of the rain, and then the gods awarded us for our relentless pursuit of fun.

Don’t mess with bad weather, A sailboat was hit by lightning last night on Lake Wiini In NH, The 28′ boat next to it also burned.

If you ever find the weather in Michigan is not to your liking, just wait 15 minutes.

Never a truer statement, we in Michigan live by it. Being one of the first handful of boats out on the poker run, we were at the last card stop, the little bit of rain showers let up, and we thought we were home free, running close to the west shore we were sheltered from strong winds, then we rounded a point, and looking North, the northern end of Torch Lake disappeared! Then BAM, Ronnie yelled and we could see the rain coming at us ” sideways” under the Bimini Top! Now I know what it feels like going thru a 60 m.p.h. GALE!!! But Lyman Tyme handled the conditions like a champ.
I kept telling Ronnie, “we couldn’t to this in the HACKER” !!!
Now I will let Greg Lewandowski tell you how his ride was, behind us…

Wendy, that exquisite illustration that your father did is ever so valuable. It is to me, the essence of Century. That sense of the extravagant and the desirable, wrapped up in the
‘ on the bleeding edge ‘ of design that Century set their marque by is evident in this picture. Its the one image I think of first when I hear the name Century. How wonderful that your Father created it. Huge respect.
