This weekend our good pals at Antique Boat Center were invited to participate in the 48th Annual Cincinnati Arts and Antiques Festival at the Sharonville Convention Center. The Proceeds from the 2013 Festival support Cincinnati Children’s College Hill Campus, which gives our community vital residential treatment services for children and teens suffering with mental health issues.
They were asked to bring 5 boats so they shined up 5 of their best and displayed them beautifully mixed in with the paintings and furniture. Somewhere between old china and vases, BAM, 5 stunning classic boats! I LOVE IT!
Last night, the gala opening was held and the addition of the boats at the show was quite well received. They got so much attention that some said they stole the show!
It was a great chance to increase awareness of Antique Boat Center AND do something really great for the community! EVERYONE WINS! It’s also a fantastic way to introduce the world of antique boats to a community of people that are open to such things. Exposing these wonderful water craft is part of the mission of us all. Congrats to the good folks at Antique Boat Center for taking the time and huge effort to make it happen.
