In 25 years of marraige we have LOTS to be happy about. Two great kids and of course… our Greavette. Love ’em all!

  1. John Baas

My two loves: #1. Pam Baas, my 12 year liver cancer survivor life partner and, 2. The Middy Mae in front of the building where the Chetek Duchess was built 55 years ago. One is a boat. The other FLOATS my boat!

  2. Jim M

32 years she’s been the best first mate a guy could want. Picture taken in the actual gazebo from “On Golden Pond”. Happy Valentines Day Wendy from your old poop.

heres my valentine! ann! sharing a hobby keeps us together (25 this april, (i hope she buys me a streblow)) though she prefers the sail boat!

What a great subject today Matt! We all kid around about our wives/spouses/partners but I suspect that in many and probably most cases, the classic boating hobby experiences that we are able to enjoy are incredibly enriched and enhanced by the presence of our significant others. I know that for me, there is no way I would be doing the things I am doing and having the fun that I am having without Karen being there with me – period. We have met many folks in the past 5 or so years and the number of long-married couples that we have become friends with, and shared our boating experiences with is really amazing. You have some of them pictured here, but there are many others. All I can say today is “Hats off to our spouses!” and thanks for the support – they often are what makes it all happen.

Happy Valentines to my darling wife Cindy. Looking forward to taking her on her first St Johns River Cruise/ Tavares show next month.

  6. Troy

    This is more summery!

My Valentine and I sitting on the engine cover!

    27 Years this July!

  7. Dennis Mykols

I agree with Paul, about the fact, with out my wife Ronnie by my side, also enjoying our hobby, traveling around the country to attend Classic boating events, and just being there making decisions on were we want to go next year, I doubt I would do half the events we do each year. I know I would have less fun.
Wanting to include her in all the aspects of our boating hobby also makes for a strong relationship. From choosing the color to repaint our latest FiberClassic, down to the cities and hotels, we stay at.
I am the firm believer in that ” if momma ain’t happy, NO body is happy”. I even gave up my Gentleman Racer to make our cruising more enjoyable for her.
And you guys know how much I loved that Hacker…
But I love my Wife that much more. Now about that new 1965 47′ CC Commander I had my eye on, instead of the Condo in Charleston, S.C…

I have to hand it to my gal! She is a great first mate and doesn’t mind picking up the sander and getting dirty. She also does a good job of stepping in and being a Captain when I want to sit back and not pay attention to boats and markers and have a cold one to relax myself. Happy Valentines Day Baby!

  9. Chuck Crosby

A photo of Louise onboard Rhapsody on Siskiyou Lake Northern California. I agree with the Paul and Dennis’s comments. Without a loving and understanding partner by your side, this little boatride thru life would just not be the same. Louise makes everything simply better.

  10. David

Here is my Valentine celebrating our engagement. I guess it was my enegagement to her, and her engagement to woody boating.

  11. Rick

Me and my Honey. As much as I say about her its because of her suggestion I have Panther. We met when she was 14 and I was 15 and have been married 29 years now. She’s definitely the better half.

    • Troy

      Interesting!

Sandi was 14 when we met, but I was only 10.

      Can you say COUGAR!

  12. Scott Fraser

Two of my loves. Elisa and I used to cruise Lake Winnipesaukee in this 1966 21′ Lyman ‘Happy Hour’ back when we first met in 1984. Happily married and 29 years later here we all are off Sandy Island.

  13. Grant Stanfield

Liz, JP & Betsy Stanfield, my WoodyBoating valentines…pictured here on the high-thrills Green Lake Marine Mail Route in a U-18. Soon we’ll deliver the mail in our new SK-22. Love you, my wonderful family!

  14. Kerry Price

Nearly 8 years of Sunday’s at the shop to bring back my Custom to life. Carole there nearly every weekend with lunch in hand and moral support all the way through.
    Best first mate ever.
    Happy Valentines Day honey!

  15. Denis D

Pat & I Taken during the Lake Winnipesaukee Boathouse Tour last year. Boats, Cars, Planes, she has stuck with me through all of them. 52 years this June, Happy Valentines Day to my co-pilot.

  16. Dick Dow

Kathy and I on Lake Roosevelt in “Sindbad” a few years ago. 25 years of hanging out on boats together and still at it! 🙂

  17. Greg Lewandowski

Here is a photo of my girlfriend, Marianne, in our boat that she named. Happy Valentines day to my terrific first mate!

  18. Bob B.

My boatress of more than 42 years, reacting when we bought our ’48 Deluxe in the mid-1970s.

  19. thomas d

Debbie, my better half for 20 years. hope she likes the new boat i bought her for valentines day tonight when she gets home from work, wont she be surprised ?

  20. Chris B

I got lucky to have a partner as crazy about boats as I. We went to a boat show on our honeymoon 29years ago.and almost sank my farther-in-laws boat. ah the memories.

  21. Carla from Hagerty

Thanks Matt for including me with all these wonderful folks! The friendships I have made over the past 25 years in this hobby have certainly fulfilled my life! These two guys (my valentines) complete me..they put up with my travels to approximately 200 boat shows the past quarter century! Thanks Kyle and Kory! Truly blessed!

  22. MikeM

Here’s my boat babe…..She made the mistake of telling me I could buy as many boats as I wanted but NO motorcycle! I took her seriously…..
