I love that little sucker more and more. She has taken a beating for sure, dropping an entire floor still on her cradle. But there she is..

    actually, to me it looks relatively unscathed, under the circumstances. I was expecting something completely crushed. Fortunate indeed on that one. Hope for more happy discoveries.

    sadly as the sun is setting here on lake Hopatcong, the roof is still coming off. Tomorrow we are braced for the sad news. Up til now, the easy boats have all been removed. Things are marching along because in two days…you guessed it. SNOW!

    jeez it makes me feel ill. It seems that no matter where you live nature serves you up something dangerous. Earthquakes are our constant companion back home in NZ, here in Florida its lightening strike season Im told, up in NJ the damn snow can wreck your livelihood and squash your boat. What a bitch.

    As to the strength of these old boats….although seemingly lightly built, they were brilliantly designed so that every piece of wood works in harmony with another to make a beautiful and strong structure. The sum of the parts…….
