For those of you into this sort of stuff, this could be a fun find on ebay. Although priced on the high side. It is a cool toy. I am not sure if the boats are original to the truck, but its a kinda who cares thing. Regardless, it is cool, but if you buy it, what are you going to do with it? No really? There is no way your gonna stick this on the mantle? Your boatress is going to look at you like your crazy, and for gods sake dont tell her what you paid. Although you can claim you saved 100 bucks on it.. WHAT? SAVED $100? That means it cost more than 50 bucks.. EEESH.. Maybe you just pretend you found it at a yard sale.. Regardless, it will sit around, and then you will be board with it and sell it on ebay I suppose.
But in the meantime it made a fun story on Woody Boater! Click here to look at the listing.

It needs work and it’s in New Jersey. This has Seth written all over it! He could have it done for Tavares 2015

Speaking of “Seth written all over it,” that’s a beautiful 19 Sportsman in the header. Like the eBay truck, “Although priced on the high side. It is a cool toy.”
And yes, I have inserted a file of the header in this comment. So 5,000 years from know, blog archeologists will have it easier deciphering.

LOL!!!!!!

…and for the record, its a 1938, 19′ Sportsman (hard to read on the header). Possibly the only Chris-Craft with a rear facing aft seating arrangement.

Where’s the fuel tank on that boat?

Typical Mercury – needs a good lower unit…:)

Tonka stands for Lake Minnetonka, Woody Boater heaven. Tonka’s headquarters overlooked the lake in Mound, Minnesota. Considering all the boats made on the lake it’s only fitting that Tonka made this.
(Sadly, the founder of Tonka was a good friend of my grandfather and invited him to invest in the startup. He couldn’t come up with the money. But at least there was a constant stream of new Tonka Toys in our home.)

WOW those little boats must be really valuable.
Here is a truck without the boats for a fraction of the price.
