Nothing like a day of sitting around waiting for food. So I added some Woody bling to the trusty 2014 Ford F150. I bought the platinum edition but did not really like the platinum grill and tailgate piece. But it did have nice leather, a wood wheel and dash parts.
A month ago we installed a color coded Limited front grill and now walnut grain on the tailgate completes the look. It was surprisingly easy. A nice roll of 3M Wood grain, and some sharp xacto blades and poof, we gots some unique F150..

The trick is cutting around the ford logo and emblems. The walnut color matches the Kodiak brown paint and interior wood dash parts
Here is the new front grill, Its a limited front grill which is color matched making this look like the factory did this.. That was the concept.

Now off to the Reedville HQ for some peace and quiet, of course Pepe in the header was first in the truck and would not leave. No one wants to be left behind!

Sweet! Nice job.

Nice job. There is no way I could get that on straight, cut cleanly and without bubbles.

Use a soapy water in a spray bottle before you apply the vinyl. It allows it to be moved around, Then you take a simple burnisher and just squeeze the water out.. Its very easy

What about UV? Will you be varnishing? Easier just to replace.

Looks great. Do you think I can apply it to my Clorox Cruiser? It’s on the hard now so this would be the time.

How about some fiberglass tail fins to complete the classic boat concept.
John Baas
Water is gonna get behind that stuff and your platinum is gonna rot! But it sure looks cool!

I like the new look on the tailgate of your F150. Nicely done.
I also like the look of this new website. Much easier to use with the iPhone.

Looks fantastic! Nice job.

PEPE — what happened to Oreo?????
Multi-dog owner = multi boat owner?

Vinyl? Admit it. You have wagon envy.

How about the mahogany wood slat extensions above the box sides. That really looked great on your old truck, and would put the finishing touch on this one.

Now just run dual exhausts thru the bumper with chrome exhaust rings and a stern pole with flag…viola

That’s one good looking truck. The color is fantastic.

Matt that’s one GOOD LOOKING truck! But you need to step it up son! Add some exterior bing as they use to have by installing a hood armament, Like a nice CC bow light and flag. Then if you have the old man tailgate package pull that ladder up and fly the colors!

This was a heavy vinyl I did this a few yrs back,,Bill

God job Matt! I like idea of the wood slats above the bed sides. hmmmm…
David Doyle
Matt Looks good. Did you consider adding real wood slats around the perimeter of tailgate? Just a thought. I’m in the middle of restoring a 1947 Pontiac woodie, target date for completion is next summer. I had to sell 2 of my 5 wood Switzers to finance the project but should be worth it. Will post pics when completed. David Doyle, West Bend, Wi

Awesome look!! Where could I pick up a roll of that vinyl and what’s the exact item description called as I’ve seen various shades of walnut and/or other similar colors.
Matt
Its a 3M product that can be found all over the web. It comes in several colors as well. Its bee about a year since I put it on and it still looks brand new
