If you are into iconic Chris Craft marketing images, these Water Ways brochures are the top of the tops. large beutiful pictures of classic Chris Craft marketing. Marketing Director and ..yes.. fellow Woody Boater Herb Pocklington was the master behind all this. We have had the great honor of working with Herb on the Statue project up in Algonac, and he is still the master. One of his favorite go to models Lori Pastic is pictured on my favorite Water Ways cover and here
in a shot we shared years ago while trying to find her today for a re-shoot! Anyone know Lori? Anyway, here is one more of the cool Water Ways being sold on ebay.
Here is the link to the Water Ways brochures on Ebayer MahoganySpeedBoats and some other stuff!

Possibly another factory Chris-Craft marketing image using Lori Pastic?

Smart looking add and a good looking gal! Matt plug Lori’s name into one of those internet find’m sites, you should be able to fine her. Just look what you found on tiger! While u looking see if u can find the Africa Queen, what ever happen to that old boat. That boat probably had more screen time than any other boat ever filmed. Hepburn laid down more drama than a bride getting stood up at the altar. And Bogart looking so worn down you though his face would fall off.

We have tried, it might have been her maiden name and makes it hard to find someone that doesnt use facebook, or any other stuff online. I cant find either of my parents online either. The dream was to reshoot Lori with some of the boats.

If Lori Pastic was 20 when that shot of the Capri was taken in 1956, that would mean she is around 78 years young now. Could be a challenge to find her now.

If she was on the cover of the 1949 brochure, likely shot in 1948, I am guessing you are off by 8+ years.

That does not look like a 56 Capri as it has a full dash. The 56 is a half dash.
And what is on the floor and lower ceiling boards?
Great pic!!

Lew,
That pic is a 1957 model Capri, but was taken in the fall of 1956. On the floor is green Deco Ray linoleum which looks a lot like the grain of the blonde wood on the ceilings in a black and white photo, in color it looks completely different.

Well the Africa Queen was easy, taking it easy down in Key Largo. But when I put here name in People Finders it comes up as Lake Martin Plastics in Al. Sorry Matt good luck it’s a great idea. I’ll check back this afternoon gotta to get to work!
FLASH
Troy probably knows her, or at least has plenty of pictures of her.

Dod you ask Herb about Lori ?
Srprised African Queen still in Key Large….she shoulda left when Thayer IV did.

Boy ! I should proof read that one.

At least you’ve got a name, Matt. I’ve been trying to ID this model for McCullough outboards for years. She did a series of shoots featuring the various HP configurations. Just curious who she is (was).

Matt, it can happen for sure. I was able to find a water ski champion in a 1959 Riva film!

I once found this gal in the 1955 Coronado picture. Photo shot on Portage Lake, MI, she’s got her prom dress on. She had not seen the photo for some 50 years and now it hangs in her living room. Her children and grandchildren are amazed.

Very cool, Tommy!
