table 1Thanks to our fellow Woody Boaters at the Heartland Classics Chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society for letting us all know that there is a great event planned for this upcoming Wednesday through the weekend. Below is the official press release and some images from last years wonderful event.

Table 2

(Branson, Missouri) The premier cruising event for classic boats in the Central United States and one of the most highly regarded cruising events for classic boats in North America, Classics Cruisin’ Table Rock Lake 2015, will be held this year June 3rd through 7th. In addition to cruises on three arms of Table Rock Lake there will be the second ever classic boat cruise on two arms of Bull Shoals Lake on June 3rd and 4th.

The classic boating events are sponsored by the Heartland Classics Chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society. Home port for the weekend will be Rock Lane Marina at Rock Lane Resort on Indian Point of Table Rock Lake. Kimberling City residents Don and Kathy Parker are the “admirals” for the event. Don Parker said early registrations have again shown commitments from boaters from multiple states and he expects around 25 classic boats to make at least one of the scheduled cruises. Parker said, “Classic boaters in their Chris Crafts, Centurys, Lymans, Carvers, Skiff Crafts, Hackercrafts, Rivas and more have discovered that Table Rock and Bull Shoals Lakes with their clear water and miles of shoreline offering stunning views are world-class vintage boat cruising venues.” Kathy Parker, who also serves as the Secretary of the Board of Directors of the international organization, The Antique & Classic Boat Society, said there are a couple of new cruises for this year’s event. The first is a Bull Shoals Lake cruise up the Theodosia Arm to the Pontiac Cove Marina. Then on Saturday of the event the boats will stop on the Kings River Arm of Table Rock Lake for a lunch sponsored by the Shell Knob Chamber of Commerce at Kings River Marina. Kathy Parker noted, “The Kings River event will be a great time to see the boats and talk to their captains.” Don Parker said the public is always welcome to view the boats, but this is not a show. There is no judging. This event is all about cruising and enjoying some of Table Rock’s and Bull Shoals’ top resorts and scenery with fellow woody boaters. There is no charge to view the classic boats.  Below is a schedule.

Wondered how they got that deep throaty sound from that o/b and then the fly by, apparently ambient inboard motors were near.
