DURING OUR VISIT TO MINNESOTA THIS WEEK we stopped in to visit our friend Lee Anderson in Nisswa, MN. The Anderson Classic Boats Museum is simply amazing. We have had the privilege of visiting the private museum a number of times over the last few years, and can say that the only way to truly appreciate this facility is to experience it in person.
However, if you are planning to attend the Woods and Water 2015 / ACBS International events September 20th to 26th, you will have an opportunity to see this magnificent private boat collection as part of this year’s 2015 ACBS Scholarship Auction, hosted by Lee and Penny Anderson, at their beautiful home and private boat museum.

Friday night brings a special treat; this year’s Scholarship Auction, hosted by Lee and Penny Anderson, at their beautiful home and private boat museum on the Gull Lake chain. Look forward to a “Taste of the Brainerd Lakes” with several noted area restaurants each showcasing a signature dish. The auction is designed to benefit the ACBS Scholarship Fund which awards boat building school scholarships directly to deserving students.
A past beneficiary of the Scholarship Fund will speak to the impact of the financial aid he/she has realized from ACBS. Auction item contributions from ACBS members and energetic bidding is essential in creating a successful auction night.

On Friday afternoon at Bay Lake we met up with long-time fellow Woody Boater Pete Mulheran and his beautiful 1955 Century Coronado. We have been trying to get together for the last few years to see this special wooden Century on Bay Lake, so it was exciting to finally do it yesterday. Stay tuned for a feature story on “Carnelian” in the next few weeks here on Woody Boater
