here’s the name to save the day!

Thanks for playing along in the naming of  The barrel back barn Find. We had some fantastic names, Like “Miss Spelt”, “WERACEM”, FLOATER made me spit out my coffee. Thanks Bill Basler for that. Her name around the house was Stinky since no matter what we did, do… her Rat/Mouse home for 40 years leaves us breathless. But somehow nothing was just right. Until a couple days ago. It hit like a ton of bricks. “MIGHTY MOUSE” She is strong, fast and always ready for action, and, well, has a mighty mouse history for sure. Turns out Mighty Mouse was created back in the early 40’s by Paul Terry and originally was called Super Mouse. It all just felt right and even if you don’t know her odoriferous history, she is small and fun! So raise your coffee varnish and say hello to Mighty Mouse.

See you in Reedville Saturday. Can’t wait to see the Barrel Back. Bring my 1959 MFG from Washington NC.

“here i come to save the day”

    Mr. Trouble never hangs around
When he hears this mighty sound…
“Here I come to save the day!”
That means that Mighty Mouse is on the way.
Yessir when there is a wrong to right
Mighty Mouse will join the fight
On the sea or on the land
He gets the situation well in hand
So though we are in danger
    We never despair
Cause we know that where there’s danger
    He is there!
    He is there!
    On the land!
    On the sea!
    In the air!
    We’re not worryin’ at all
We’re just listenin’ for his call
“Here I come to save the day!”
That means that Mighty Mouse is on the way!

nah…..Miss Spelt was my choice and I am snicking to it.
Would have been spot on for Matt and sort of connect us to the great author of Real Runabouts!

Great name. Great font (even if it’s just a photoshop job at this point.) You’re an art director with a keen eye and I appreciate that you keep your transoms period correct. Too many perfectly-restored boats go over the top with fonts, graphics and scale on the aft side and it just ruins it for me. But maybe I’m alone in paying attention to that.

I’d say, “Whatever floats your boat.” …and I guess Mighty Mouse can do that.

While the mice shall play in Reedville, the Thoroughbreds will round up in Manistee, Michigan this weekend.

Let’s hope Mighty Mouse needn’t save Matt’s day like this … GREAT NAME!!

“She is strong, fast and always ready for action” fast????? we have seen no evidence of the that yet.

Hmmm….gotta say I am a little disappointed. WERACEM was such a good suggestion. Did you decide against it because you could not find the right font?
