Oh hell ya!

We left Marin County, on Monday and drove to LA for the night, and last night made it to Tuscon. Tomorrow we head towards Austin, hopefully… and then off to parts unknown. Which is what the fun is about.

leave me outta this!

The best part of the trip is finding fun local places that capture the local spirit and that special time when life was simpler, and not as corporate and food sensitive. And last night did not disapoint. The Silver Saddle right on highway 10 headed East. Every part of this place screams perfection. Hey, there aint no boats here, but a good steak or BBQ joint is a good second best.

The locals. You know the steak is good when cowboys are there. Old cowboys

You could feed the entire family with one appetizer. The Round up platter. Holy cow

Out waitress Becky was full of Mid West spunk which made the night all that batter! So if you are Woody Boating through Tuscon, stop on it for a T Bone and Mud Pie! Woohhooo

Yeah, what is up with the foliage behind the boatress?

A mesquite grilled steak is sounding pretty good right now and it is not even breakfast time.

Jesus nothing gets by anyone! The plants are my sons. We are taking them to Virginia. He is moving to NYC in a month and this way we save them.

Throw a sheet over them in New Mexico. Look innocent, do not stop at the port of entry. Been there, got busted!

Gosh !..If I’d have known you were that high on a good steak, I’d have insisted you try Denver’s Buckhorn Cafe when you were in nearby Boulder. Not only fantastic decorations, ( Every animal head you ever imagined) but the steaks are absolutely outstanding.

Tell Frechette we said “Hi” when you get to Austin.
