In the “what could go wrong ” category here is a cool, or hot Schyling Vintage Tin Boat on ebay that runs on fuel. Yes, You light it. Can you see this being sold today. All over the box it says NOT FOR CHILDREN, yet who else plays with these things?

I imagine using it in the bath tube is also not advised. Dammit! YOU CAN SEE THE EBAY LISTING HERE

Looks like a good candidate for the HTYC!

Looks like fun. Maybe I’ll put some fuel in my bilge and light a candle in the cabin. Wonder how far up I can go.

If a “chock” mounts on the deck, then is the act of “Chocking” that of installed deck hardware?…….or de-“chocking” by flame thrower………………….

Those are new, my brothers and I sold these as kids on the 1990’s at the Hershey AACA Fall Meet. We bought them wholesale for $5 a pop or so and resold for $15. We made our ‘Hershey’ spending money that way. They are still made by various mfgs. And popular for school science classes, etc.
They work surprisingly well, and are a real hoot to play with. Look up Schilling, they still sell some repro tin toys. They used to sell much more of th vintage type skews, but now appear to have gone the way of more plastic and licensed products, a shame.

I must be a bad parent. I bought my son one of these when he was young. We had a ball with it. Anything to get the kids into boating.

Couldn’t be any more dangerous than stepping on a lego in the middle of the night bare foot. Jeez the pain is real.
