WECATCHEM and her new Dolly

Need to work on your trailer duringthe winter? Need space in the garage? How about some Dollys? No, not the Troy kind, we are talking about some small metal things with wheels on them. They run $275 each and are at our pals place at the Classic Boat Connection.

I will add, that if you look around, these are the best deal around, and, even better, you are supporting folks that support you. They come with the wheels off and it takes about 10 minutes to put them on.

And BAM you are set to go, and your boat is now moveable around the garage, and lower and easier to work on. And you can send your trailer out to the repair place to have the breaks rebuilt.

Those do look nice, but you were supposed to have Jimmy do the trailer work in the summer while you were out boating. It is much easier that way.

Dollies are great especially when you have limited room in a garage to work on the boat. You can work on one side of the boat and then push the boat easily to the other side of the garage to work on the other side of the boat.
One other trick for putting the boat back on the empty trailer in a garage is to put carpet upside down under each trailer tire so you easily slide the trailer left or right to align the boat to the trailer properly. I learned that trick late at night after an hour of frustration.

$275. Is a good price the shipping is what kills you. For some reason they won’t ship UPS.

Those are excellent dollies! When I was looking I couldn’t find them anywhere near that price. Add the difference to Canadian dollars, shipping, duties/taxes and it was outrageous. I opted to build my own … it works okay but, if I were doing it again, I’d rather have 2 small ones vs. one big one. What am I saying! I’d rather have the ones from Classic Boat Connection!!!!

I bought a showroom display dolly when a local marina went out of business. On blocks here because it don’t roll in dirt. Only issue is it is hard to store.

I love the Williams Engineering brand of dollies and use them to store some of my boats. They roll easily and are built with quality casters.

+1 on Williams Engr. dollies. Have many! Cheaper shipping on the left coast too…

Thanks for the mention Matt. We just love these dollies, I keep my Riviera on a set. If anyone orders a pair of the dollies this week [they CAN ship UPS], just mention to us that you read about them on Woodyboater and we will throw in a free 2018 Classic Boating Calendar and a canvas boat bag [a $30+ value] for free. Just give us a call at 507-344-8024 or email us at [email protected]

My brother-in-law uses similar ones under each wheel of his antique cars to move them around his garage and pack them tight to the walls for more room. They work excellently.

All the links on the boat engines for sale are blank pages. I just wanted you to know that, and hopefully resolve the issue. If it is on my end, I apologize. Cheers mate!
