Coffee And Boats! Using The New App To Help Grow The Classic Boat Culture. And Your Social Life!

Don’t sit there alone anymore!

Now that we have the APP, one of the key reasons it was designed was to create fun spontaneous gatherings. “Splash Mobs” out on the water. The Coffee and Cars thing has done wonders for the classic car culture. Why not the Classic Boat culture? Why do all our gatherings have to be “boat shows”. Why not “Boat Goes”?

Just one boat can be a catalyst!

Here is how it works. You find a perfect hang out on your lake or river. And go! That’s it. Invite other guys to do the same. You can find other boaters and a hangout on the app. If there isn’t one near you on the app, find one and let us know. That way others can find you. Let folks know in the event area, and go.

Start Small, but stay consistent

Now this is the part that makes thing grow. Do it on the same day, and set a rythem to it. For example, the second Saturday of the month at 9 AM. After a while there will be more of you, and more, and guess what. Other folks that want to join in the gang will go buy a boat. Make it a social thing. And all it takes is about an hr a month.

Before you know it, you got a party going

This is just one of the creative ways to use the new WoodyBoater! Have you downloaded it yet? just got to the Google Play area for Android users and App store for your iphone. For those of you that are on Android now, we just did a complete next generation for you all. Hopefully it helped you.

Even if the party is in one boat!

I think a big part of what made cars and coffee popular was all of the YouTube videos of drivers tearing out of the parking lot, losing control, and spectacularly crashing their pride and joy in full view of all the other participants.

Do we have any volunteers to help oats and coffee “go viral?”

To all my Minnesota WoodyBoaters. I propose a monthly boat in to Fletchers or Maynard’s on Lake Minnetonka the first Sunday of the month at noon. First one on Sunday May 6th.

WOW, you found a picture of John in VA sitting alone? He must have been resting up between his 1 O’clock date and his 3 O’clock date. Of course rumor has it that John is a one woman man these days, so maybe that is why he was alone.

Here is a “Flash Mob” in Astor on the St. John’s river. Guy Marvin III arranged it.

Yeah yeah…..Matt put up a pic of my back, solo, because I am the oldest old school old fool…that won’t change with the times…and of course Troy had to out me on it too.
    One girlfriend, one flip phone…..guilty.

We have had great success with “Cars and Coffee” which then evolved into “Cars and Caffeine”. There are a number of weekends where we expand to a “car cruise”, which is, I believe, to be the premise of “Coffee and Boats”. Love the fact that LehrJet is already proposing a time/place for the Lake Minnetonka crowd. I know there are several lakes in the Midwest that are currently doing a Sunday gathering. Let’s do this!!!
