Ugh

You may be a tad jealous of us here in the southern part of WoodyBoaterville, but don’t be. Cause in the south here we get Pollen. Yes, I know everyplace gets a bit of it. But here, it’s like a dust storm. You can see it in the air, and it gets everywhere.

Ugh2

Especially when its windy and it was blowing hard yesterday. So never mind the wind, I had WECATCHEM all ready to go, and uncovered her, and screetch, no boating, just sanding and varnishing and painting Sweet Pea, so just like you up north, I was working on a boat! Maybe next weekend?

Man thats a heavy cover when you didnt get any boating in.

All covered up after a wash down. The stuff wont blow of, and rubbing it off will scratch, so you have to hose her down.

I was able to get a coat of varnish and stain on Sweet Pea! Of course its a tad yellow for a first coat. but the plan is about 12 coats. Standards suck!

Says it all

One should experience the “yellow” of the Piney Woods! Hope to see all at Keels & Wheels!

    Preppin’ here in the ANE!

AB is getting a fresh coat of paint on her topsides and BA is getting buffed and waxed.

BA may not be wood but she is a “Late Classic” by definition.
    DANG look at that shine!

You see the darnedest things on the back roads of Maine on your way to the Boat Barn.

Is that a goat on your ASS?
(No this was not photo shopped. I actually had to turn around to get the pic.)

After Troy’s goatpix, I’m not even bothering to post pix of my pollen-covered windshields in the PNW…

Why is Troy wasting valuable inter web space on goat pictures. Maybe some of that pollen made it’s way to Maine and pollinated him

A high pollen count is 20-200. April in Atlanta pollen count was 1000-4600+ week 1, 350-5300+ week 2, 1000-3600+ week 3, and 265-650+ last week. No varnishing that month.

OH, that give a new thought process about pollen.

I remember in my youth one fall my father explained that the falling leaves were the tree’s byproducts, so basically when tree’s lose their leaves they are just crapping all over the place. Think of that next time you or your grandchildren are jumping into a pile of freshly raked leaves.

i see marks from your chairs on the floor of your 25, or is that pollen? wondering, what do you do with the chairs when you trailer somewhere? will they stay while going 70?
