Oh yeah

Very cool

This is NOT the one on ebay, its ours. Not sure if the one on ebay has the leather part

Helmet and jacket

Right on ebay ready for you

So if I buy this set would that mean that I could justify buying a step hydro or race boat to go with it?

Boy! That’s a beautiful picture of the Life Jacket & Helmet.
I’m sure someone bought it here after seeing your post. Maybe I should just offer my collection of old racing stuff here. I’m slowly working my way up to start selling of the old race boats. That’s going to REALLY Hurt! Jim

Yes Troy, but note that it is a post war jacket, so you will need to find an appropriate boat to match.

m-fine you know that I don’t do much that is “appropriate”.

Now if I could figure out a way to piggy back a race boat onto a Cruiser. That would beat the heck our of the inflatable. Then again inflatables are great for playing bumper boats.

I’m still kind of stuck on the young girl in the cabin on the Cavalier with the pink interior.

Oh the subliminal messages in 50’s advertising!

I am sure if you saw a photo of her and that boat in todays shape, it may help you move on.. HA. The white dress is purley to not take away from the pink interior. If you look at the entire catalog, they are very careful to cowardinate colors. It was the late 50’s and pastel colors were huge.

Look at all those comfy cushions to lay down on but no pillows. A woman without a boatload of pillows now a days is a woman lost, apparently.

It was probably just the photo quality, but did anyone else think that the life jacket was a prefect match for “Buttercup Yellow” ?

I think if I could go back to the 50s, I would rather be in that cuddy cabin with the cute girl in the pretty white dress than trusting that old life vest. My Grandma had one of those. She couldn’t swim. Thank god she never had to use it. Bill are those 75 Johnson’s on that Hydro ?
