Hello Boys! I love Sausage day!
We seem to be consuming a whole lotta Sausage this winter. But according to our stats, seems like the citizens of Woodyboaterville sure love sausage. Not to diminish the love of bacon. Mmmmmm, this is the danger of writing this before breakfast. Now I want some flapjacks and bacon. For those of you wondering why there is no real photos of bratwurst and bangers, Sausage Day is a day of odd one of stuff that isnt worthy of an entire story, but all mashed together makes one succulent, salty, fatty story!
Something fishy is going on here.
Fun ebay race pin thing
Speaking of eBay. THis is on ebay for 800 bucks. I cant decide if that is a correct price? is it original or one of the recast ones? I have so may questions.
Love this photo. Who ever was the ad agency for Johnson did wonderful work for that company back in the day.
Not sure about you guys, but the fishing around here sucks. I keep running into rocks. Thirsty anyone? Anyone?
I wish I could find the original art for these covers. Someone painted them as an illustrator. And they are so much more than that. Would make an amazing gallery showing
Wonderful hand lettered design. WOW. The 1930’s were a wonderful period where art won out over photography. Hopefully one day this will come back. Which actually might be an entire story about the design of modern magazines. Why not go back to true art like this?
We all pray to the planet Beach ball!
Very cool vintage brochure on ebay.
Mitzy? is that you?
I think part of the look on these hats, is to sit sideways. In a way if worn straight, feels like the police, yet on the side, says casual and fun. Right Earle?
I see crappy out of focus photos are not a new thing.
I have no idea why I love this photo/slide. I think its the lady on the rights head dress and sunglasses.Or that its color and shows that skies back in the day were also blue. Its always interesting to me to see vintage in color. Real color, not the colorized stuff that’s out there.
Wonderful simple design. The illustrator did a wonderful job. not anything as nice as the 1930’s stuff. But there is a hidden message here. Kiss my ass 1967, and 1968 is gonna rock. Boy was he wrong. 1968 was not a good year for us all.
Bing Crosby, Richard Arlen, and Gary Cooper. On Arlen’s Yacht Jobyna. – Photo paramount studios. I love these bow flags. Is there a meaning of this bow flag?
