Oh man! Randy Mueller’s Matthews Martinique

When it comes down to it all. What is the sexiest classic boat ever made? Now this may require some breakdown of boats and sex appeal. And to be balanced about it all. Are we talking Sexy to men, or women? I know that to many of us readers. 85% men are readers, when we ask about Sexy, we think, what women are attracted to.

Amazing Racing Runabout. Very Sexy Lines.

Which I guarantee you as men we do not know.  For example. Is a fancy power boat with a large engine and fins sexy to women. I doubt it, neither are muscle cars. They are sexy to us men. We think its all about muscle. But to women… Hold on, I am channeling my female side.

It’s a Sportsman. A simple boat that says you are a balance human. You love passion, you love art, and if the boat breaks down and you laugh about it, that’s sexy. Because you are easy going and confident.

This is insane Sexy! Look at that interior, the lines. AHHHHH!

Now to a man a Sexy boat is a powerful boat, with strong design. Barrel Backs, Donzi’s Cobras, which are more defined.

WOW, Hacker Craft sex appeal

Of course this is all subjective. It would be great to hear from you all. And what is sexy?

Maybe its the person that makes it sexy?

Black Beauty is up near the top of my list along with a Ray Hunt 30′ Sportsman. In the newer boats, I’d go with a big Viking.

Someone will no doubt say it is a boat with Tommy Holmes in it. Ha.

Guess I’m different from the ladies Matt knows! Mid ’60s Mustangs, both Fords & Correct Crafts, are sexy. As are those awesome finned creations, in both wood & ‘glass. Mid century era Rivas, especially with aqua upholstery. Those sleek ’70s Glastrons, like the Scimitar. All sexy vehicles. But the attraction of the vehicle versus that of the guy in it – two different things to be judged separately!

There are a lot of sexy boats out there for sure but I must say that our own Chris Craft XK-19 must be in top 5! 🙂
    Look at that phat ….

Everyone has there favorites but the boats that seem to draw the most attention from both men and woman at the shows are the big triples from the 20’s and 30’s. At “Boat the Blue” I was sitting next to “Skol” and most everyone that walked by stopped and commented on how beautiful and sexy she is.

Also anything by Van Dam is way sexy!!!

The Argentine mystery boat languishing in my shed.

Also can’t forget about anything built by Ditchburn or Minett. Those Canadians knew how to attract the girls!

Sometimes it’s not just the boat but also the captain that makes the boat sexy…but not the case with this Steelcraft.

    • Royce Humphreys

Ah yes, the Christina! Behold the majestic lines, bottomless wine glasses and able crew! When you pull up in a 1950 Steelcraft Sedan, you know you have arrived!

One need only ask what George Clooney -and Mark Setterholm- own.

To me, any Gentleman Racer is pure nautical sex. Either sitting on a trailer or doing 60+ m.p.h.

The Martinique does it for me, If you want to see what type of boat women are drawn to just plan a trip to Lake Cumberland State Park in Kentucky for the annual poker run the weekend after Labor day, long large supercharged double and triple engine monster powerboats everywhere for the weekend and the good looking ladies with them are a sight to see. Come see for yourselves and enjoy the parties at night at the marina.

Randy Mueller isn’t the only one with a Matthews Martinique!

When it comes to a full line up of sexy boats in a single brand, it’s hard to beat the panache of a Riva. 😎

I am with Sean and Bill on this one.

I also agree with Dick about the Jim Wynn designs, just tend to lean on the Formula’s he did a little later.

True so many sexy boats but we also need the excitement part! Only one that can deliver both is the Gentleman Racer!!!!!!!
