Tarp Find Teaser!

Tarp Find! Yikes!

Ever wonder whats under a plastic tarp in a yard? Dream of finding some sort of amazing find under their? Well, from time to time… Well okay, never does it pan out as dreamed, but you keep on dreaming and looking. Slowly becoming more and more cynical.

Cool Speedo!

But every now and then, something.. something like today just reminds you to keep on digging. Keep on dreaming and looking, because this Tarp Find is going to blow your mind.

And if you are thinking I am going to show it all to you today, you are also dreaming. Cause this sucker is going to be milked for all its worth. Ya! It’s snowing in parts of the country and all I got is ebay crap to regurgitate on.

A huge thanks to the Katzs Marina team for sharing this with us as its happening. Tune in tomorrow to find out more! YES tomorrow. Hey this boats been under a tarp for decades, you can wait one day!

I think I’ve seen enough. What I see here is a few parts and a pile of rot literally spilling down through a boat trailer.
    I like Troy’s teaser a lot better.😉

Kind of reminds me of the guy who found a hull plate on the wall of a bar, so he went ahead and “restored” a Hacker-Craft.

    Tarps should be effing illegal.

I know a person who put a tarp over a beautiful Corvette, and a mere two years later it was a mouse infested piss pot.

Always amazes me that folks will put a tarp over something thinking to protect it, when they are in fact just speeding up the decaying process.

Better than what I found in Dad’s ol Chris-craft when I was cleaning out his bilge.Thought it was a mini christmas wreath-turned out to be bones of a curled up rat.

More photos, wood construction only, please?
“Tarping” a plank-on-frame wooden boat for too long is only slightly less problematical than “encapsulating” it with an epoxy laminating glue!

That sweeping dashboard with the bottom fid says mid-30’s ‘special runabout’, while the stem-head says mid-50’s?

What it all says is “How to treat a Wooden Boat Wrong”?

I don’t care what it is….cause Troy is coming here next weekend! Bringing Sandi too…..and the girl in today’s post for me! I hope.
I spent the night on the hook, first beautiful night out this season.
Diving under in the first warm water of the season I found my prop a pizza…rudder too…worst I have ever seen form in my creek? Scraped ’em……added 1000 + rpm and I saw seven knots for the first time this year!!!
Come on Troy…..the Great Loop Awaits

Tarps are a way of life in da U P. You never know whats underneath them. This time of year they are starting to peek out of the melting snow banks.
