Miss Ants In Pants!

,

Ruby is always in charge

The other day we showed you a wonderful header if I may say so. The header is one of our crew, Ruby who loves a boat ride. I think. Ruby and Oreo both can tell if I am gonna go out. They sense it. And the term “Boat Ride” launches a yap fest. Orea settles in fast and enjoys the slow ride. Ruby on the other hand can not sit still. Lots of wiggles and wagging. After about 5 minutes though she settles down. A constant speed seems to do the trick. But man that 5 minutes is crazy.

She had to hold onto Ruby while filling up at Buzzards point

The Boatress captured a small part of the chaos. So even though it may look like the same shot over and over again. Its just a couple minutes!

Okay, maybe here

Whats over there?

Maybe the back seat?

no back to the front seat

mmm, i will just look.

Maybe i will jump. NO! Get down!

Okay, can I drive then?

Please

look mom I am in the back seat again.

One ear!

Just a sliver of an ear.

Now over up front? maybe on the floor

And kinda finally on a towel. But in the end, back with Mom and Oreo

She knows how to ride!

    Lovely dogs there, Matt!
…you’re not afraid of scratches from the dogs on that beautiful varnish? 😉
But you are very good in using your boats so maybe some scratches just tell another story and ads up to the provenience? 😀

I think Tobler has the same life jacket as Oreo, just a slightly larger size. It still has the handle on the back, but I don’t think anyone could lift him back into the boat with it! He also takes the Oreo approach of climb on and settle in.

Cute dog but this is all about those perfect stripes and that perfect rubrail. I have to do that to my Palomino this winter. I hope it looks half so good.

Matt stop driving your boat half assed ! Just like in an airplane, boating is all about weights and balance. Two humans on one side of the boat is not balanced out by two small dogs on the other side (sometimes). Have the Boatress sit on the opposite side of the boat and you will enjoy the ride much more. Also you won’t have to strain your neck when she is talking (instructing) to you.
Not sure I would have the dogs on board after spending a pile of money on varnish and interior. But then again I am not a dog lover.

It may be a Female Dog thing. Our male Schnauzer was cool and laid back on any boat we took him. BUT our female Schnauzer is a Ruby all over!
Beemer just cannot sit still or find “Her Spot”. Drives me nuts, so I finally solved the problem by teaching her to drive…

We had Bullet (a Cane Corso) on our sailing vessel Dulcinea regularly…sadly he passed away about 3 years ago.
