Photo Comments Are Back! Dang! That Was A Mess!

,

AHHHHHHHHH

On such a heavy day, a little good-ish news. If you think wiring a boat is a mind bender. DO NOT HAVE A WEBSITE! Good god! The good news, is I know more about DNS, SSL, and CDA, and who hosts what and why and its all related to spam and the crap thats out there. And don’t even bring up the APP. That’s a cacophony of cluster you know what. Ya see ya got your website host, then your DNS host, and a special place that has the SSL Cerificate, and it has firewalls to protect from Russian hackers trying to rig the comments. I cant even remember my dam facebook password. And that’s easy. These places have passwords that look like chemical formulas.

It takes me days to build up the patience to talk to someone in a chat style conversation. YES, this has been going on for months, and after 4 hrs of dogging it yesterday with three tech people we figured it out. We finally got a Sr tech guru person.  She knew her stuff and was like a machine. It actually was fun weeding through the colon of my website.

YA, it’s an inflatable Colon! need one? They sell’m! RIGHT HERE!

So? What was it? What took three MIT engineers and an art director to solve this problem so Troy can post photos of women wrapped in sausage? Well, turns out Clouflare was using a SSL Certificate that was bad. No one could explain it, so we disabled it and the site crashed. So we moved the Certificate to our own Server that hosts the site. And BAM! it worked. Like a bad set of new points. ISH!

YA! I will be using this image alot!

Shockingly this is all sorta making sense and fun to learn new stuff. It’s empowering, just the same way it is to replace a Valve. The fear of the unknown is the worst enemy of trying new things. So. today post all the photos you want. We have missed Jaxon, and Miss Smoked Sausage!

Ya, I am ashamed.

Relax!

Now if you will excuse me I need to get back to work. YA!

Oh Sorry, here is a boat photo! Need to stay on topic.. Atleast in the story!

this was cool a 1941 Garwood overnighter with Twins

I’m not sure what it means, but my Google shortcut no longer works. I had to change it from “http” to “https” and add the full “www” to make it work.
Figured you might want to know.
Thanks for your hard work so I can get my daily wood boat fix.

Also a 1954 Matthews Double Cabin also in Greenport. There is one gentleman who has been saving these from the chainsaw and then selling them.

As a website devoted to classic boating, on this day we should not forget about the John J. Harvey fireboat (which was in retirement) who jumped into action to help the people and NYFD on 9/11/19.

For her full story of John J. Harvey and her involvement in the 9/11 rescue check out this website.

I can’t seem to keep anything working for very long…getting towed TO our boatshow in Buffalo last week after ruining the motor on the way there.

So awhile back I am fishing at 7 am at a mountain lake in our woodie, and this fog bank appeared…right where I knew the fish were. But it looked like a scene from one of those Bermuda Triangle movies and I didn’t want to come back in thirty years via an alien close encounter vessel….so I stayed in the sun and caught nothing.

After a solid week of rain and crappy weather….I would love to be on the boat right now headed into that fog….

This all of course has nothing to do with bacon or women in bikinis, but it was a pretty cool scene anyways…

The Saturday before Hurricane Dorian, Matt said “Get out there!” so we went 25 miles offshore at the Jackspot while you guys were trailering all those beautiful trailer queens around.

Great Header Matt. Lets never forget. We all can remember where we were at the time of the attack. Remember if you see something say something. Lets not let this happen again. Love the pics.
