SAD BREAKING NEWS – JOE TURCOTTE KILLED IN FATAL CAR WRECK!

,

Joe at the helm of VAGABOND

We are very saddened to report the death of a true asset and contributor to our beloved Classic Boat culture. Joe Turcotte of Gar Wood boats was hit from behind in his truck today and killed. I, and others are speechless and still in shock. Joe and his brothers, and entire family run Gar Wood Custom boats are an institution at all the big events. And in the entire boating world. They are all that’s good about our passion. Joe was General Manager of the Family business and very well known and loved by the entire community.

We will try and bring you news as it happens. Here is a link to the story as reported in the Post Star news in NY.

And here is a news report. Very very sad.

We will keep this story up all day Friday. Unless there is further updates – Personally this angers the the crap out of me. I am angry, frustrated and bitter. I am sure I speak for many that the tool that did this deserves a special place in hell. How one useless turd bag of a human can take such a good soul, a person that brings so much good to the world. There are words that just seem cliche right now. Senseless, selfish, stupid, evil, unfair, sadness, all of these sadly can not capture the true impact of this sad event. I know it helps no one to be angry, but right now this news is very upsetting. UGH!

There is nothing I can say that will truly comfort the Turcotte family, but please know that all of our thoughts and prays are with you.

Having narrowly missed what could have been a bad accident on my way home last night this hits a little close to home in more ways than one.

It’s another reminder of how quickly our lives can change.
