The 2019 Hilton “Made My” Head Explode Show Report.

Unofficial Caption: Not sure how they pulled it off but Amelia Earhart showed up. Dang! Now that is one special appearance. Official Caption Eileen Wilson stands in front of her 1928 Cutiss Wright Travel Air 4000 at the Aero Expo Showfield of the the 2019 Hilton Head Island Concours D’Elegance & Motoring Festival.

We got this report in from Kentucky Wonder and Charles Mistele from the snazzy Hilton Head show. The best part. Amazing photos. We are gonna try something new… Official Captions and Unofficial ones. Now there are a lot of fancy cars, so no bitching please. But some of the boat guys showed up to make sure our passion was being repped in style.

This had no official comment so!!!! Little known fact. Near the end, it was proposed all Edsel’s come with boats. See they were so under water the marketing guys had this idea! They ran it up the flagpole and well.. no one saluted. head of marketing was fired. At least that the story I can think of right now. if I can make up captions why not history?

Official and Unofficial – Bryan Leazenby, left, and Art Hampton enjoy a bit of Four Roses bourbon while seated in the third row seat of Anne Leazenby’s 1949 Greavette Runabout. Having a stocked bar within arms reach was a definite plus.

Official – A judge checks under the very low fender of a 1937 Bugatti Type 57S during the 2019 Hilton Head Island Concours D’Elegance & Motoring Festival. Picking a winner from a long list of seemingly perfect cars must be like picking a winner from a long list of seemingly perfect boats – difficult. Unofficial – Smelling the lawn? Bowing to the great fender? I fallen and don’t want to get up cause this undercarriage is amazing? It hit me! I want my insurance money! Is there a lawyer in the house? Not a retired one btw? Mmm I see my nose hairs in the reflection. Oh, ya.. why didnt anyone tell me about that hanging there. … I can keep going.. or you can.

I have a complaint. I am not sure what about yet, but I am sure it either has something to do with the contents of today’s story, or what wasn’t included as content in today’s story.

Let’s see wood boats, non Chris Crafts featured, no Katz’s mentions, no smoking monkeys, no zippers. This is hard!

Oh wait I got it! Yet another story with no dogs or bacon!!!! Can you please get back to stories with dogs and bacon on classic wooden non-Chris Craft runabouts without zippers?

I am obviously attending the wrong shows. Instead of a request for Grey Poupon, I hear things like “can you spare a condenser”.

Maybe its that unlike condensers, there’s no Chinese imported Grey Poupon. Grey Poupon wouldn’t really work with bacon wrapped chicken on a stick anyway.

I think the 1600hp supercharged version would be a great choice for WECATCHEM as long as they offer fresh water cooling.
