Sausage Sunday! Have You Been Outside? YIKES!

I like my sausage well done, with a little crispy edge

Well, I was gonna try and last gasp Stinky, but the wind is a blow’n and even though its 40 outside, it feels like…well.. 40! Hey that’s cold for me. Every part of me aches. So I have been storing up some sausage for such a day. We will get better through the winter. But its a start. To those of you wondering what in the heck I am talking about Sausage Day? Its a day of lips and snouts, scraps of stories that are not an entire story worthy. So we make Sausage out of them. Eggsiteing?

Quick call the Coast Guard

FASTER! – Wait, we need a smoke!

I’ve got my pocket knife! And Betty!

I’ll be right there.

NOOOOOO FLOTERS!

I’m ready!

YA! Just relax, its all burnt up by now

Meanwhile in North Carolina 15 people lost there toes in a boating accident.

Sausage and Beer! YA

Be safe out there. Its windy and cold, but always 70 here in WoodyBoaterville.

Good day for hot sausage made inside. Here upper 30s, 20mph wind and coastal flood advisory. Good day for cooking not a boating.

I think Schlitz was the beer that made Budweiser famous cause who could drink that crap. Well, unless you were high on paint fumes or stripper, so totally appropriate for captains during spring fit out.

Hey Floyd – Why don’t girls like to drink beer at the beach?
Because they don’t like to get sand in their Schlitz…

Lol, Schlitz was 1 step above Balentine? Ale my grandfather use to drink and my step grandmother drank Boh (Bohemian). I “borrowed” a 6 pack in my youth and brought 5 back.

        Funny you should mention Ballantine’s.

This hangs in our stairway. Got it out of an old barn/bar that belonged to Sandi’s parents on Cobbossee. It was an actual commercial bar in the 30’s.

I don’t think this poster was up when you visited a few years back.

Liked the Johnson add. Is that his date or his sister? You gotta love 50s advertising. No life jackets and no adults in the boat. But we all survived experiences like that. I drank a lot of Schlitz when I was younger. Found some in Wis. last year, also drank a lot of Old Milwaukee. Not with the Blonde Bikini Team though. I always enjoy sausage days!

Wow, I should have kept my 1941 Buick as in the header…it was my first car in high school in 1981. Everyone else had Cameros and 240Zs but I had the Buick…which was a hit with the Dads when I went to pick up a date…until same Dad noticed the couch as the backseat. Great car though…straight eight power, comfortable as all hell.
