The Woody Boater Diet Challenge. Who Wants In?

YIKES! This was from years ago.

I need to drop some New Orleans weight, hell, the last two years have been a slow death march to fatdom again. So, here is my idea. I will weigh in each week. Maybe Saturdays. You can do the same. What ever works for you works for us. You can brag about it all in the comment section. We can all weigh in on who is cheating and have some fun with it. Mfine can taunt us with bacon bits. Alex Watson can show off his thinness from running. I have zero pride in this area. It’s a never ending battle for me and what’s left of my vintage metabolism.

After my diet 2 years ago. Down 50lbs.

But maybe just maybe if it helps one more of us here, we can all meet up on Lake Dora in our banana hammocks. NO? Just kidding. Right now you wouldn’t be able to even see it. So starting this Saturday, tomorrow!!! We will all weigh in. And start this journey together.  So eat up. You want to start off at a large number.

We will use the same scale we used to weigh aluminum vs iron heads

Hell one poop after holding it all in could make you a winner for the week. TMI? Oh I haven’t even gotten started yet. And there will be prizes along the way. T shirts, Hats, Etc.

Load up!

Have fun. Load up, then lets start this puppy off. I need to fit into my skinny boat coveralls by spring.

August 2017

Btw here is the story I did back then on the eat like its 1945.

Maybe we should all get Peleton bikes and document the results like the holiday ads that drew so much disdain. Rig it up to power Wecatchem instead of that new V8 you’re dreaming of.

I’m in. Just turned 30 and 250lbs is no way to go through life for me.

I signed up for the Lake Okoboji Triathlon which is in July and would like to get down to 215.

Lift that cast iron cylinder head a few hundred times along with a W exhaust manifold…………who says messing with antique boats can’t make you fit!

I’m in but only if one of the prizes are WoodyBoater Virtual Hotdogs. Mine from a few years ago are almost gone. Interesting that there was no expiration date on them.

Well, this challenge came a little late for me. I have already lost 30 lbs since mid-summer. Now at 270 lbs +/- a couple, I have leveled off and holding steady.
I will start to see some more weight loss come Feb and Mar, once we hit Flordia in our Travel Trailer and resume riding our new Electric RAD Power Bikes again.
See you all in Travares in March, we arrive March 2nd and will attend both of the classic boating events ( the vintage regatta, then the Sunnyland event).

I started about 6 weeks ago. Down a decent amount. Cut your sodium and it does wonders. Not all the way out but cut back and its amazing how in tune you feel.
