Have You Told Your Boat You Love Them Lately?

,

Mr Heater, and the Purrrrkins!

YES, I talk to my boats. You don’t? You should, you might be surprised what they have to say.You think you want a boat ride? Did you ever consider your boats feelings. Alone in the barn? She has one thing in life to fulfill her. Go.. It’s Sunday. Go out there and give a warm relatable hug.

Mr Heater does a great job

I was out just getting things checked over. Just puttering about, and thought, mmm I should just start her up and let her run a bit.

Alive!

She took a bit, like she was in some sort of hibernation. But she lit up. and well, after all that, like waking someone up. You are now responsible for the entertainment. So.. Out we went, and its was like visiting an old friend. We chatted, and just talked about last summer. Talked about the weather and the waves. And then a very slow ride back to her dock.

It’s cold out there.

We both enjoyed the winter chat, and after some more more pleasantries, she went back to sleep, and I returned to my chores. It was great to reconnect.

Love!

Ahhhhhhhhhhh

Nice video to watch on a cold Michigan morning. We let the Lilies bond at the dock to keep them happy!

My two are sharing a nice big room together in a boat hotel on the other side of town. The card on the door says “Do Not Disturb Till March”.

Nice to be able to chat with old girl in winter… mine are too needy and they always want something more…like fresh varnish

Second on the usefulness of the Mr Heater. While no boating in upstate NY this time of year, I use the heater when ice fishing. Yeah not the same as a nice boat ride, but when winter cabin fever sets in at least it gets you on the water.

I have deep thoughts when I uncover her in storage and check her bilge, oil, battery and hit the horn. I keep telling her her sister will join her one day.

Had Mr. heater on in my einsenglas enclosure yesterday….used two bottles of propane just crusing around. BoatSafe Heater for the engine run make her fire right up all year long!
As for the show the boat the love: I just had a bronze plague made for her “Fairchild Scout 30″…..looks fine!
John in Va. heading for the fla keys for a week soon! Not on the 6 knot boat…..
