Hurricanes, No Docks, Rain, Heat, And Now A Pandemic. And Yet.

AHHHHHH!

Here we sit AGAIN in what has become a predictable mental trap right before Lake Dora.. again. Should I go? What if someone sneezes on me? Is it really any different then a Hurricane? The answer is no. It’s all one sort of a storm that could effect us. Or not.

LAKE DORA CHAPTER! READY!

So. here is what I have found over the past 11 years or so of going to Lake Dora. It’s always something, and when you are there, it’s okay, and fun as hell. Never mind the weather, the, well anything. If we need to be contained? I cannot imagine a better place than with my boat on a lake.

It’s more than a black or white issue. WE WILL NOT REMAKE THE LAKE DORA SHIRTS!!!!! YOUR INITIATION INTO THE CHAPTER IS THAT YOU WERE THERE!!!! YOU BAD ASS YOU! Not as in a bad ass that needs rare tp, btw..

The latest news is this. Officially. The show is a GO! The ACBS WILL BE holding it’s annual meeting as planned.

According to Terry Fiest, their have been 3 reservation cancels. 3. Which is kinda normal. I will be there with our new stock of shirts and hats. And we have some very cool SONS OF VARNISH LAKE DORA shirts. We of course will be in a bubble with rubber gloves and Purel showers. But that’s kinda normal as well.

The shirts are ready

Mermaid. She likes the Palm gardens as well.

ALL KIDDING AROUND ASIDE. We are an incredible community. This is a dynamic situation. And even if we all show up and just look at each other from 6 feet apart. Out on the water, boating, thats good enough for me. And for gods sake don’t make the real fatal mistake I made last night. I TURNED ON THE NEWS!

It’s a bit early but one of my crew needs a ride to the picnic. Let me know if you have room. I’ll have the remaining 6Volt t-shirts. Come see me in the usual spot inside the gate by O’Keefe’s. If the show gets cancelled we will be alternating between Palm Gardens and Pirats.

The Virus is know to live longer on metallic surfaces. So as a public health concern everyone should be constantly polishing the chrome on their boats!
