The Okanagan Okanagang Put Together Virtual Boat Show Today!

OH HELL YA

Woohooo. Boats! Real old, restored, reborn, prerestoic, woody boats! And a boat show to boot, boat. A huge thanks to the great folks at the Okanagan ACBS chapter. BTW, for those of us that are thinking this is some sort of butcherd name. It’s a real place on in British Columbia. Fellow Woody Boater Steve Leslie and the crew there put together a wonderful show. I will say this is a fantastic way to do this.

TUNE IN, and get turned on!

This is one cool boat, and will become a new category of boats at shows. Stay tuned, read all about it at the show

The layout is fantastic and really gives you the story of each boat and shown in wonderful photos. Of course the best way to see the show is in your underwear, sweatpants with a good cup of coffee varnish. And some flapjacks, and bacon, and doughnuts..

That needed one huge trailer

So sit back, and enjoy. THANKS AGAIN TO THE OKANAGAN OKANAGANG!

Oh!

So how does this work? IT’S SIMPLE. CLICK HERE! and come on back and comment. WOOHOOO.

    WOW What a show!
Great boats, and I loved some of the back stories provided for the pictures.
They obviously put a lot of thought and work into the layout of the website.
Thanks for my Sunday Morning distraction!

Wow, what a great way to enjoy Sunday morning coffee. Very well done with great photos and a fabulous collection of watercraft. Congrats to the Okanagan Chapter for a job well done by our Canadian friends!

Very nicely done! Really liking that Fibersport. The gorgeous design of a Century, without the famously leaky hull.

Thanks to everyone for all of your efforts in putting this show together…I enjoyed every minute and only left my chair once to get a second cup of coffee…a very creative & positive response to our world today.

We got the go-ahead from our Governor here in Michigan to boat again, and open up the Marnie businesses. I will be getting our Coronado out of storage and back home this week.
Now if only we can get mother nature to open up the warmer weather, we may be able to enjoy a nice long-awaited boat ride. We have been 15 degrees below normal for two weeks.

    Fun show!

Had a fabulous time with the Harrisons, Knights, and Nothin Special last month in Dora! That is one great boat!!

Never knew Tyson’s wife was such a looker, he must really have something special. (if you know what I mean?)

Thanks Troy – I feel obliged to mention a very sad fact relative to Nothin’ Fancy.

We bought the boat after it had been restored by Bill Root, a prominent, important and extremely involved member of the Sunnyland Chapter, the chapter BOD and recently the ACBS BOD. Bill and his wife Kathleen ran the entire registration program for the Sunnyland show for many years, and he worked on and restored vintage boats, among many other activities in his retirement. He also did the Great Loop, and he looked after Nothin’ Fancy for us in the years since we bought her. I don’t think Karen and I have encountered a nicer or more honorable gentlemen than Bill Root.

Bill passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home from a heart attack on April 19 – last Sunday morning. His passing is a tremendous loss for the Sunnyland Chapter, the ACBS and for everyone who knew him.

I agree with you, Paul. Bill Root was such a kind man who worked so hard for the Sunnyland boat show and club. He will certainly be missed by all.

      Haha, Chad 🤘🏼 Thanks!

Yah Troy, I’m blessed with a big Google search. 😉 That was more of a cheer up picture for Steve though. He’s spending all his time restoring a 1949 Spartan Manor so I thought he’d like to see something softer than polished aluminum. 😂

Thanks for the hard work Steve! And thanks everyone who came to the show!

Damn!! this was a great way to spend a Sunday morning. The pictures and backstories were really good. It looks like Troy snuck a picture in there. What a show! Thanks to all for putting this together.

Thanks for the comments. Glad everyone is enjoying the show!
Hopefully this is NOT the future of our hobby! But until things are safe enough to gather together we must all think of ways to come together with our friends and share our passion of antique and classic boats! Stay safe everyone!
